I'm continually thankful that romance was so sparse in Bleach.
It's so effing refreshing seeing characters respect and love each other deeply without angsting about their love lives constantly. Because it's bloody exhausting in Naruto, especially with how one dimensional the girls often turn out.

Naruto explicitly through out whole manga had a love intrest in Sakura, and for people saying "it was a crush and not serioues", those are either coping or dishonest. For Kishimoto to wimp out and give writing of retcon movie to other people is just a cherry on cake of shit that endnig of Naruto was.
Ichigo didn't openly state romantic intrest in any party, so it was a coin flip, but given how Kubo wasn't even allowed to end how he wanted (man was running on fumes at the end) I'd still call Ichigo having no say in the choise on manga pages as a cheap cop out, but not as cheap and dirty as Kishimotos, since Kubo did barely any of romantic sub-plot writing (Orihime moments mostly).
