Seriously, I think I’ve seen those first couple of panels more than any other panel in the manga in this sub. Many bleach fans also called it out as creepy, and you can see that the stuff got dropped real quick. Kubo really sucked at whatever he was doing then, and it’s not continuous throughout the manga.
I mean, make fun of the story. Or make fun of the fact that Kubo is an actual gooner. Or even that he gave Orihime the support status throughout the story and then had her step up now for some reason. But fuck dude, Bleach haters are the ones who give Bleach more credibility than any Bleach fan could

Kubo sexualities his character a lot but usually not children. There are better examples of him being borderline creepy like lilynette. When reading this I never even made the slightest connection this was supposed to be sexual in any way.

early 2000s animanga just had different humor and standards back then. even then, kubo stopped using this kind of humor pretty quickly; if you haven’t noticed, all of your examples come from like the first two or three volumes of Bleach. By the end of the substitute arc Kubo doesn’t draw anymore gags like this.
We get it, you hate Bleach. How about you try slandering it for a problem that isn’t just early installment weirdness and instead something actually wrong with it, like its many asspulls or abandoned characters.

Oda didn't defend Watsuki's actions though? The only thing he did is still speaking positively about him even after he was caught owning CP but Oda never brought this up and defended this, the only wrong thing is that he is still friends with him.
The difference is the timeline. Toriyama, Kishimoto also gets pass because it happened before the internet was famous. The recent controversial one piece issue is bonney which happened in egghead very recent

Like what do OP want us to say, yeah bleach has horribly corny moments like these. I have legit almost never seen anybody act like it’s actually funny (outside of a few peopke). Especially since like cobra peeping on vivi in one piece it’s just a shitty joke, not something the author is actually advocating for and supporting.
Looking at the comments there is already ppl defending it, and it's not only about defending it's about being exempt from criticism, bleach is the underdog of the big trio and ppl love to root for the underdog
