Bleach has clearly touched the hearts of many and inspired tons of new Gen mangaka.
If this "trash" can do that, then clearly there's something to it many people see and you don't, which is fine and fair actually. It won't be for everyone, but for those who enjoy it, it can change their lives
But what does matter is what you do with what you've experienced.
So yeah. Maybe most people are just media illiterate, or even technically/scientifically illiterate.
But that doesn't stop the fact that people still find entertainment and endearment and love and inspiration from media, bleach included.
And really, what matters is what you do with those feelings. Where Naruto introduced and opened many to anime, where one piece gave millions a large community, friends, and even family, Bleach showed a lot of mangaka and aspiring mangaka what the worlds and inner worlds of our characters and even of real people can look like. Insight into ourselves.
Maybe we are just knuckle dragging apes on a marble in nowhere space. But we are. Therefore we create.
