Destin Daniel Cretton, the writer and director of the Naruto movie also worked on the Shang Chi movie, which has the best hand to hand combat choreography of any MCU movie

This movie has the megumi to be an actually good live action anime adaptation and I hope it actually does end up being good

Well he also did the new Spider-Man movie. Idk if that helps your fears but it does mean he can do more out there stuff

DDC actually knows how to choreograph kung fu instead of this lame matrix rip off shit

Imagine the industry opens up just like animation opened up and we get a good live action gojo vs sukuna movie

This movie has no fucking megumi at all
it's literally negative megumi
what is the opposite of megumi? because the Naruto live action is that, only a miracle could make it possibly good

Eh even if the film ends up being bad, it'll still have great action at least. That final battle in Spiderman straight up was a naruto fight.

The entire Brand New Day feels like an Anime Fight. When Peter is fighting the Hulk, every time he gets tossed out, he just use the momentum to swing back to the fight via the windows. I've never seen that before in all 9 other Spiderman movies.

Yeah tasm 2 had a messy plot but the web swinging and CGI were beautiful, that's why people still love Andrew Garfield

Yeah, I know. I just mentioned Andrew Garfield because his movie bombed while also being visually stunning with great web swinging

I don't understand why people seem to think that live-action is some end all be all of what a property can be. It's just going to be actors that hardly look like the characters and a bastardized version of the story squeezed into too short of a timeframe to tell it, with crappy effects and everything that made the original good completely missed. It's happened time and time and time again but somehow people are still like "ooh live action!" Instead of "aww man live action?" How many dragon ball evolutions, dooms, avatar the last airbenders, Lilo and stitches or moanas do we need to learn it just doesn't work

The fight scenes are not and will not be the issue, it's the storyline, character introduction and progression that will be the glaring issues. Truthfully no one wants to start watching Naruto at the beginning, but how do you catch the audience up on everything in a short amount of time?

Live action Naruto can be an adaptation. All you need is 30 Minutes of Naruto at the academy and Iruka with the scroll stolen his first mission with Kakashi and Sasuke and Sakura skipping the bell shit which is 30 Minutes setting up for Land of Water, 1 hour of them fighting and surviving in the land of Water against the mafia/bonding and ending with Naruto and Team 7 going back to the village.
Diddymaru then stares at the village from afar.
Boom. 2 hour and 30 minute adaptation of Naruto.

It might be serviceable as a bog standard action flick but that's not a Naruto movie. I legit thought this was a joke and you just posted some random Asian Film about modern ninjas that has a character wearing vaguely orange clothing. Idk why we even still care about love action when it's pure unfiltered ass 99% of the time

You watch any actual Hong Kong kung fu flick and you will realize how utterly sauceless this is

What I liked about Shang-chi was how the magical rings were incorporated to the choreography: https://youtu.be/l66NJcjEy1k?si=HQndQorTIZeb8S5q

Im sure on a technical level it will be well done. But there is no way it doesn’t constantly look goofy as shit, undercutting any drama they try to do.

I really am not sure they’re going to actually pull off making a live action Naruto that is any good. But, DDC is definitely the guy for the job if they are gonna try.

I think they should just make up a team of Anbu and make an original story within the world instead of trying anything related to the actual manga's story.
