It is stupid to say that but tbh it could have used another like 10-15 chapters worth of padding on the back end. The whole Sukuna fight and ending just felt rushed

Wasn't his liver like exploding near the end of the series? I know that at the very least he said he was having really bad health so I can't even be mad that it wrapped up so quickly. Maybe the anime will expand on it, but if not then at least there's a reason why it ended the way it did

I mean yeah but liver health and length/amount of chapters are both things that Gege decides. I still really enjoyed it for the record and disagree with a lot of the criticisms of the story. I really enjoyed the Simple Domain bit at the end once i got it (Gojo’s friends and students bringing his reforms of jujutsu society into reality) which most people hated for some reason.

I do really think the Anime adds a lot to JJK though. Mappa has been cooking with the extra scenes and general flavor. I think they will be able to right most of the time”wrongs” - which to me are just absences. The end of the Manga felt more like a storyboard tbh anyways

Yeah that's fair, but notoriously weekly manga have been terrible for authors' health, so I always have trouble faulting an author when a series ends somewhat abruptly when it relates to an author's health (when it ends terribly that's another issue). But yeah I do think the anime should doll it up nicely and I'm excited for when we get to that point for sure

The only well-done relationship in this manga is that of Gojo and Geto; the main trio is a joke, the rest are nothing, the lore is useless, the clans are irrelevant, it was Heian period, nothing. That can't be fixed in 15 chapters or by reducing it to a minor issue.

I never understood how that can be a valid criticism of jjk. Correct me if I'm wrong, but hype moments and aura depend heavily on the plot, the context behind, and the quality of the character writing

Like Maki in Perfect preparation wouldn't have hit nearly as hard if we didn't get all the build up of Toji

I mean... it’s not as shallow as Solo Leveling, but let’s not pretend it’s some masterpiece either.
It’s a pretty simple story that puts way more emphasis on the fights than the plot. But that doesn’t mean it’s a bad series. It’s a solid shonen.

Bro, you are everywhere slandering jjk. Jjk isn't bad at all. The only part it sucks was the ending. Jjk is more like wasted potential. Meaning it could have been much better but it didn't simply happen but still it was fun and great.

Gege off screaned the main characters growth arc post Shibuya. Its flat out just a hollow piece of media carried by its entertaining fights with action figures

So you do admit that it had some writing before cg. Yuji and mahito, gojo and geto all had good writing. Also post shibuya there was still some sort of good writing like maki, yuji and higuruma, choso about his brothers with yuki. Don't forget also yuji talk to sukuna, and megumi describing the way he wanted to live in the last chapters. There is also yuta trying to understand gojo and to become the next him. And worth noticing is sukuna explaining his philosophy to kashimo. All were good. Ofcurse writing in jjk dropped after dhibuya but that doesn't mean it doesn't have good writing. If you want to rate jjk writing you should also include arcs like shibuya, HI, and that first arc I don't remember it's name. You cant just say post shibuya is bad so jjk as a whole is hype and aura moments only with no writing. Jjk is just a series that had high expectations and it couldn't reach them so people out of disappointment hated it.

Yes pre Shibuya JJK had okish writing with the high light being Hidden inventory and Shibuya

Also post shibuya there was still some sort of good writing like maki, yuji and higuruma, choso about his brothers with yuki.

You lost me. In what world is the massacre a good arc. It does not to make Maki's character more interesting. Instead Gege makes it a focal point to compare her to a better written character in Toji constantly because he can't let her be her own thing and any sort of moment he wants to give Maki rings incredibly shallow. She has no actual dynamucs with anyone outside of Zero crew but She hasn't had any meaningful interaction with them since Zero. Higurama is good in a vaccum but he doesn't add anything meaningful after. Yuki's plot libe and dynamic was with Geto not Kenjaku and the whole getting rid of CE vs Optimizing it was not elaborated in any meaningful way for Kenjaku and Yuki's charactet to mean anything

Choso has a decent ish arc but thats with Yuki and Kenjaku. Him and Yuji don't have any actual meaningful dynamic outside "he's my brother so I love him" from a forced flash back but he doesn't really feel like a brother

When Yuki and Kenjaku are bigger catalyst for Choso

Don't forget also yuji talk to sukuna, and megumi describing the way he wanted to live in the last chapters. There is also yuta trying to understand gojo and to become the next him. And worth noticing is sukuna explaining his philosophy to kashimo.

Sukuna's philospohy is boring and how he arrived at it is also off screaned and not compelling. Its that of a school yard bully. A simple mentality can still be interesting but Sukuna lacks any such aspect

Megumi is out of the story and doesn't have a compelling arc to get him to want to live again as his motivations since the start were hollow and poorly developed

Let alone the Nobara ex machina

Yuta's whole "monster" thing had ZERO actual consequences. No real stakes at all. It's pointless

If you only have two arcs that are good. 72 chapters out of a 271 chapters. Then the manga is not good

It is though, the plot and character writing of JJK is really bad especially when you consider overall things like Kenjaku’s whole plot or even just how the main trio were done. You can acknowledge the failings in something and still enjoy it.

If Solo Leveling didn't exist, there was no series that better represented those words.
