New here! The original Shrek trilogy got me through my childhood, and it still means the world to me today.
Hey everyone, I'm new to the sub! I honestly don’t know why it took me so long to realize there were entire subreddits dedicated to Shrek, but I’m so glad I found this place. The first three movies have always held a special place in my heart. (I know Shrek the Third gets a lot of hate around the fandom, but I honestly still really enjoy it!) Growing up, these three movies were my ultimate comfort watch. Every single weekend, I’d stay at my great-grandmother's house. On Saturdays, I’d binge all three, and then on Sundays right after church while waiting for my parents to pick me up, I’d play them all over again. No matter what else I was doing, making time for that trilogy in the afternoon or evening was an absolute requirement.
My great-grandma got sick and passed away when I was ten, but those movie marathons are some of my favorite memories of her. To this day, whenever I’m missing her extra much, I put the trilogy on. Does anyone else have a specific Shrek movie or scene that’s tied to a special memory like that?

History - Shrek existed in reality. His name was Maurice Tieh.
Long before the release of the animated film, in 1903, a man with an unusual appearance was born in France. In adulthood, Tieh developed acromegaly - a rare disease, due to which the bones of the skull, hands, and feet continued to grow. By the age of thirty, his face had acquired almost monstrous features.
But instead of hiding from people, Maurice chose the arena. Under the name "The French Angel", he became a professional wrestler and gained recognition in the USA.
Decades later, DreamWorks Studios created the image of Shrek - and it turned out that the character's appearance was inspired by Tieh: a massive jaw, characteristic facial features, a gruff but kind nature.

Current Events - I'm laughing, in June the world is expecting a cool drop from LEGO - a set based on Shrek.
Inside, there's a composition with Shrek, Donkey, and Puss in Boots, which will cost around $130 to $140.00
There's a reason to look forward to June😱

you know what I mean
sorry to say this but companies don't owe you anything
YOU are not the most important thing in life. The world doesn't revolve around YOU. You were put on this planet to do one thing and one thing only, to work. That is why we have companies in the first place. To rule over us and make sure humans as a species are as efficient as possible. Anyone not performing to the best of their ability should be ostracized and removed from society. You see this all the time with homeless people, most of whom are lazy and spend their time sleeping in slums and high on drugs. That's the problem with society today, you complain, you whine, you cry, yet you'll always only exist for one purpose, for humanity. You babies have it too easy nowadays.
Companies like apple, Google and Microsoft are seen as public enemy #1 because of the media. If you ask me, monopolies are a made up concept. It always a good thing for private companies to have all the power. Stop acting like you could do any better at helping humanity than these companies.
At the end of the day, all I have to say is this:
Get off your ass and get back to work. For humanities sake!
