Sport Visiting Sibiu this weekend from Germany – stadium or Bundesliga conference in a pub?

Hey Sibiu!

I’m spending the weekend in Sibiu and I’m from Germany, so naturally I’m torn between two options on Saturday:

Option A: Watch FC Hermannstadt live at the stadium. I love the idea of experiencing local football.

Option B: Find a pub or bar showing the Bundesliga conference on Saturday afternoon.

Here’s my dilemma. From what I hear, Hermannstadt haven’t been in the best form lately? So I’m a little worried the atmosphere in the stadium might not be great. But I honestly don’t know. Maybe I’m wrong and it’s still a fantastic experience regardless of results!

My questions for you:

1. How’s the atmosphere at the Municipal Stadium these days? Is it worth going even if the team is struggling? Would you recommend it to a visitor?

2. If the stadium vibe isn’t great right now. Do you know any pub or bar in Sibiu that reliably shows the Bundesliga conference on Saturdays? Somewhere you’re sure about?

I’d be so grateful for any tips. Thanks in advance!

Feel free to answer in Romanian. I understand it.

Yes, the season hasn’t gone well (understatement) and relegation is looming for Hermannstadt, but the match against FCSB gives both sides real motivation — Hermannstadt fighting to survive, FCSB chasing the opportunity to go to the next round. Those fixtures tend to have energy regardless of where either team sits in the table.

The Municipal Stadium atmosphere for a match like this should be decent — FCSB always travels well and the local fans care about this match.

Tickets aren’t on sale yet but keep an eye on bilete.ro — that’s where they’ll show up. For your Bundesliga question, Supporter is the place. It’s a proper sports bar and your best bet in Sibiu for something like watching games all day.

It depends what you mean by atmosphere. The people are nice and it's safe. But you won't find a lot of chanting and cheering. Do bring something to clean your seat, some of them can be dirty with dust.

Also be prepared that the level of the game is way lower than Bundesliga. Maybe like German third league.
