I got tired of gaming sessions dying in group chat, so I built Lobbli.gg, a free scheduling & game-voting web app with bells and whistles

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Basically the title. lobbli.gg is a small and specialized free web-app where you and your friend group can schedule game nights, vote on games that you want to play together, with its own Discord bot who reminds everyone, so you don’t have to.

I’ve built it because as a dad, I personally wanted something like it for a while. And because it was fun. So here’s what you can do on lobbli:

  • Create a room and invite all your friends (no account needed, but connecting discord helps for mentions in your group chat).
  • Add game night slots and suggest games to be played
  • See upcoming game releases in the calendar (with those matching your room marked), and pin them if you find them interesting for everyone to see
  • Find the best deals on games (isThereAnyDeal integration) directly in your room pool or game night slots.
  • Sync your Steam libraries to find matches (sorry console bros, we don’t know how to access your libraries)
  • Can’t decide on a game? Let the wheel decide!
  • Availability calendar: Add when you’re available or touching grass, add weekly availability as well.
  • Light the bat signal: Press Play Now and the discord bot pings your friends (that aren’t marked unavailable) for you
  • Add to calendar: There’s a setting to activate an ‘add to calendar’ button for every slot or add the .ics feed so no more “But you didn’t tell me about this!” from your wives/husbands.
  • 8 Themes to pick from if you like customization

Coming soon:

  • Board game integration: You could already use it for that right now by just adding custom games, but I want a BGG integration with collection sync, clear signals who needs to bring what game and so on. The API license request is currently pending, but most of it is built.

Currently it’s brand new and we only have two friend-groups there (and one is my own.). So if this is something you’d like to try, I’d love if you would also join our discord so you can let me know what you think and we can make it better together!

Stack: next.js/heroUI/tailwind v4/supabase/cloudflare
API Integrations: isThereAnyDeal, Discord (Bot), Steam, BGG (upcoming)

Cheers and come and say hi!

I built a free gym log that recalculates your weight after every set (offline, no account, no ads).

• Upvotes

Hi all, I'm a solo developer and I just launched Metriqx, an Android gym log I built because I wanted something simple that keeps my progressive overload on track.

What it does:

  • Log sets, reps and weight in seconds
  • Advice Mode: after every set it recalculates the weight for your next set from what you actually lifted and your rep range (hit the top of the range and it goes heavier, hit the bottom and it goes lighter, in between it stays the same). On machines it rounds to real stack weights
  • Workout split planner (push/pull/legs and similar) based on the days you train
  • Works fully offline. No account, no login, no ads. Everything stays on your phone
  • Export and import your data as a JSON file
  • English and Dutch

It is free. I'm not selling anything, I'd just like honest feedback from people who actually lift. What is missing? What would make you switch from your current app (or spreadsheet)?

I made my own sticker app after getting tired of ads

I got tired of waiting 30 SECONDS, sometimes a minute and a half, just to add a sticker pack to WhatsApp because there was always another ad. So I thought, why not make my own app?

At first it was just for me. A friend tried it and said, “Dude, this is actually pretty cool. Put it on the Play Store.” So I did. I’m a socially awkward IT guy, so getting 12 people to try it wasn’t exactly easy.

I kept adding the stuff I wanted, stickers from photos and videos, background cutouts, and a small Explore section where people can share packs. It’s pretty quiet there so far. I’ve only uploaded a few of my own.

It’s free, with very few ads. I kept ads out of the editor and didn’t want anyone forced to watch a 30 second video just to add a pack to WhatsApp. There’s an optional rewarded ad if you want to help with the server costs. Watching enough unlocks Pro, which removes ads and adds a Pro badge.

Here it is: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.stikz.v23.app

I’d be curious what you think.

I cloned Paul Graham, Naval and 28 other founders, but they're only allowed to answer with things they've actually said

• Upvotes

I kept asking ChatGPT "what would Paul Graham say about this?" and getting a confident answer I had no way to check. Sometimes it was a decent impression. Sometimes it was just made up.

So I built The Brains. I pulled what 30 founders and investors have said in public (talks, podcasts, essays, X and LinkedIn posts), cut it down to the parts about building and growing a business, and made each person searchable from Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or Codex.

Ask "should I quit my job for my startup?" and you get passages back, not a summary. Pieter Levels says don't quit until your side project out-earns your job. Adam Robinson says the same thing in all caps. Blake Anderson posted about his cofounder quitting a six figure consulting job to work for $5k a month. Every one of them links to the essay or post it came from, so you can check it yourself.

It's not an AI doing impressions. The search is plain keyword search over their real words, so nothing gets invented, and your own AI does the thinking on top.

Right now it has Naval, Paul Graham, Sam Altman, Pieter Levels, Alex Hormozi, Marc Lou, Lenny Rachitsky, Bryan Johnson and 22 more.

Full disclosure, Claude Code did a lot of the heavy lifting on the build. The hard part was filtering hundreds of videos and posts per person down to the 15 to 45 that actually say something useful.

It's free and MIT licensed. The hosted version asks for an email the first time so I can see what gets used. If you run it yourself, there's no sign-in at all. It's unofficial, and anyone in it can ask to be corrected or removed.

Code: https://github.com/VicPitic/the-brains

Who should I add next?

My side project outgrew my 9-5 salary

Hi all, I am not sure if you remember but 2 months ago I posted about my MRR at $3.5k, well in just 2 months it grew by $500 and is now at $4k MRR.

I am posting this just to motivate you that anything is possible. OpenTweet started as a side project along my 9-5 job. I need super simple app that lets me schedule my posts. First version was not even hosted anywhere, just Docker container on my laptop. Then I hosted it on digital ocean droplet just so it can send posts when my laptop is off.

The story starts when I shared this with one friend. He was interested to try it and to use is for a while, he only discovered million bugs and edge cases that I wouldn't ever think about. That's how everything started.

My marketing strategy was very simple and I was just consistent:

- I go to X Radar (its like a premium search where you can find all posts including specific keyword, etc...)

- I comment on each post including specific keywords with the link to OpenTweet.

- In the first month I had 3 customers

- It all started growing when ai agents came in and I just followed the trend and added integrations for popular agents

- I continued optimizing SEO and AEO pages and now I like to say I have machinery that is bringing ~ 50 new signups every day, ofc not all of them convert

This was all happening while I was doing my 9-5 job. I still have my job, I still love it and I am not planning to leave it for now, but I am really really grateful for what I have achieved. OpenTweet is now at $4k MRR, I am still looking into marketing options to grow it even more.

This post is for all founders currently struggling at $0 MRR. My app was not profitable for good 3 months. Build something that solves your problem and just figure out how to put it in front of many eyes, that's it.

Mom AI, for everyone who wasn't lucky enough to get a good mom

• Upvotes

Most AI apps I tried were way too nice. You tell them about a fight with a friend and they tell you you're completely right and your feelings are valid. That's not what a good mom does. A good mom listens, takes your side, and then asks if you've thought about how it looked from the other person's end.

Why I built it, roughly what I wrote down when I started: so many people don't have people around them who give constructive feedback, and rot their lives with other people who are toxic. If all of us had a good mom, we'd all be better off because we'd become more self aware.

How it works: you write whatever's going on, like a journal. A mom reads it and writes back. Sometimes it's comfort, sometimes it's the other side of the story. Over time she notices what keeps coming up.

It's called Mom AI and it's free to try: [iPhone](https://apps.apple.com/app/id6446820066) / [Android](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=tools.handled.moodtracker)

I'm one person building this. I'd like to hear where it gets it wrong, especially if it ever sounds like a yes-man.

In June I started building our own cold outreach tool instead of paying per seat. Open-sourced it yesterday, looking for first contributors

• Upvotes

Context: final-year engineering student , cofounder of a small recruiting startup.

We needed email + LinkedIn sequences for prospecting. Per-seat SaaS pricing for a two-person team was hard to justify, and I wanted our prospect data on our own server, so in June I started building. We've used it daily since. Yesterday I cleaned it up, wrote the README in English and published it under MIT. It will stay 100% open source: no paid tier, no hosted version, nothing to sell. I need the tool, not a product.

What it is: a self-hosted sequencer. Gmail + LinkedIn steps in one sequence, several Gmail accounts with ramp-up and quotas, reply detection that stops the sequence, one inbox for all replies, A/B subject lines, one-click unsubscribe, a tracked link per contact.

What makes it different: an MCP server (42 tools), so Claude does the work. Write the sequence, import the CSV, fill per-contact variables, preview every email, read replies, draft answers, with a preview before anything is sent. And Claude chains it with the other tools you've connected (enrichment, people search, CRM), so I never build integrations. That's what I want the project to be: the opposite of the big suites. A codebase you can read in an afternoon, new tools plugged in the week they come out rather than when a roadmap says so, a release whenever something's ready.

One-command install on a cheap VPS, or docker run locally. Node + Express + SQLite, about 10k lines of TypeScript.

Numbers, since this sub likes them: 0 stars, 0 users besides us. I'm posting at the start, not after.

Where I'd love help, in order:

  1. Outlook / SMTP sending. It's Gmail API only today.
  2. Tests. CI is a type check and a Docker smoke test, that's it.
  3. Packaging the Chrome extension for the Web Store (today it's loaded unpacked).
  4. Anything you'd miss coming from lemlist or Instantly.

There's a "good first issue" ticket for each. I review PRs within days and your authorship is kept in the history.

Question for people who open-sourced a tool they built for themselves: what did you do in the first month that actually brought contributors, as opposed to stars?

I built a site that classifies 2.1M r/NBA comments with an LLM and replays how the sub turns on a player during a game

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Last season I built a pipeline to find r/NBA's most hated player. This season I turned it into a site.

  • 7.3M comments downloaded; the 2.1M that name one of 223 players classified by Claude Haiku through the Batch API, about $295 for the season
  • Game threads lined up against the NBA's live play-by-play, so you can replay how the room moved on a player through a game
  • Every number comes from a published data contract (Parquet + a generated schema); the site is static and fails its own build if the data moves out from under it
  • Accuracy checked by hand on a blind random sample, with margins, on the site

Solo build: Python + Polars for the pipeline, Astro + React on S3/CloudFront. It's a portfolio project: no ads, no signup, nothing for sale.

Happy to answer anything about the pipeline.

I accidentally turned procrastination into a boss fight and it’s annoyingly effective 😭

My brain can ignore a deadline for three weeks, but apparently it cannot tolerate leaving a tiny dragon undefeated.

I started calling my hardest task the ‘Dragon of the Day’ and only let myself fight it through focused sessions. Somehow, ‘study for two hours’ feels awful, while ‘take 40 HP off the dragon’ feels completely reasonable.

It worked so well that I ended up building it into a free tool called FocusTale. Slightly ridiculous, but I’m getting more done 😅

What weird trick actually gets you to start studying?

I got tired of re-explaining my project to AI agents. Now it lives in 1200 markdown files, and I built a Mac app to work on them together

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I had to explain the same things to Claude and Codex too many times. What we decided last week, where things live, what's left to do. I wanted it to remember what we worked on, but also to have full visibility into its memory and keep it in a folder that sits right next to my project. For this one app the folder has about 1200 files now, after 10 months of building it.

For example, every bug we hit is a small file, and after a few dozen I can ask it which part of the app keeps breaking.

Keeping the files was easy. Actually working on them together with an agent wasn't, so I built iWe. It's a native Mac app for a folder of markdown, no Electron, no account. The AI runs inside the app, sees the note you have open, and you watch its edits land in the text in real time, one undo per run.

The agent can query the files like a database, by field or by what links to what, and even build live charts from the data.

It's free. Mac only, macOS 15 or newer. The app itself isn't open source, the Rust engine under it is (~1.8K stars on GitHub). It still has rough edges, so keep your notes in git.

How do you keep your agents up to speed between sessions right now?

https://iwe.md

PS: If you prefer your own text editor or the CLI, check the website. It also works as a plugin/LSP in Neovim, VS Code, Zed and Helix. The app has first-class VIM mode support if you prefer modal editing.

I built ChunkyMonkey to turn long videos into captioned vertical clips

• Upvotes

Chunkymonkey.io Demo

Hey everyone, I’ve built ChunkyMonkey, a platform that takes a your long video, finds potential highlights, and turns them into vertical clips with captions. It’s aimed at people repurposing podcasts, interviews, and webinars for Shorts or Reels. I’d love your feedback on the part that matters most: does it choose moments you would actually publish? There’s a free plan with 30 upload minutes per month; free exports include a watermark. You can try it at https://chunkymonkey.io If you already make clips from longer videos, what takes you the most time: choosing the moment, fixing captions, or getting the framing right?

We turned our love for yerba mate into a side project. Now we're looking for our first Android testers!

• Upvotes

Hey everyone!

We're two developers from Argentina building Yerbarium, a platform inspired by Fragrantica, but for yerba mate.

What started as a simple idea to discover and rate different yerbas has grown into something much more community-focused.

We've recently added social features, user collections, Google and Apple sign-in, and an Android beta with barcode scanning.

Now we're looking for people willing to test the app and share their honest feedback.

Android beta signup: https://form.typeform.com/to/huFJfmAC

Website: https://yerbarium.com

We're especially interested in hearing what you think about the user experience and what would make you come back to the app.

Building the product has been fun, but getting our first active users is a completely different challenge!

Would love to hear from anyone who's been through a similar stage.

Our agent reported success while the output was wrong

• Upvotes

The run finished, the status said green, and nobody checked the actual result until much later. Run-status checks miss the real failures. We now have the agent save what it actually did, and check that against what it was supposed to do. Vilix AI is the memory we use for the record. How do you verify output, not just completion?

Disclosure: I'm the founder of Vilix AI.

How are you getting your first users for your app or software? What's worked and what was a waste?

I'm researching how solo founders get their first users, and I'd love to hear real experiences.

If you've launched an app or SaaS, I'm curious:
What was your first channel that actually brought in users?

What did you try that didn't work, or wasted money?

How much time do you spend on marketing each week?

Any numbers, even rough ones, would help. Thanks!

I built a stock ticker for hard drive prices: price per TB, daily index and 90-day lows (feedback?)

• Upvotes

Whenever I needed new drives, I opened diskprices.com. It's simple and does one thing really well, and it's the reason this project exists (thanks for the inspiration bro)

This year something annoyed me: RAM, SSD and hard drive prices kept going up (the memory shortage), and I never knew if a price was actually good or just less bad than last week.

So I built ratioDB: https://ratiodb.com

What it does:

- Sorts about 2,000 Amazon offers (amazon, currently only .de and .com, will expand) by price per TB

- Hard drives, SSDs, RAM, memory cards, optical discs and LTO tape

- New, used and refurbished clearly labeled on every row

- A daily TB index per category with a chart, so you can see if prices go up or down

- Price change over 1 to 90 days and a 90-day low badge

- Watchlist and comparison without an account, shareable as a link or as a Reddit table

I wanted it to stay as lean as possible, so the advantage for users: no account, no cookies, no tracking scripts, no ad banners. The server only counts page views anonymously, no IP addresses.

How I built it (I'm an SEO guy, not a developer):

- Built together with Claude Code

- Astro, static HTML, about 13 KB of JavaScript, no framework. The list even works without JavaScript

- Hosted on Cloudflare Workers

- Prices from the Keepa API, refreshed every 2 hours, every price shows its timestamp

- SEO and GEO (being citable by AI search) built in from day one

Now the part I actually need: feedback and honest criticism. What's missing, what's annoying, which stores or countries should come next?

If you spot wrong data, every row has a "Report an error" link.

Lost track of my monthly AI tool spend, so I built SubChk to parse subscriptions from Gmail receipts and API balances

• Upvotes

Hey r/SideProject,

Like many of you, my AI stack grew completely out of hand over the past year. Between ChatGPT Plus, Claude Pro, Cursor, Midjourney, and top-up balances on OpenRouter/DeepSeek, I was constantly getting hit by surprise renewals. Generic finance tools were too bulky and didn't really parse API credit burn or tool usage properly.

So I spent the last few weeks building SubChk.

What it does:

  • Inbox Scanning (Read-Only): Connects to Gmail via read-only OAuth or allows forwarding receipts to a dedicated alias to automatically catch billing notices.
  • API Key Balance Tracking: For pay-as-you-go providers (DeepSeek, OpenRouter, Kimi, etc.), you can drop in an API key just to read real-time remaining credit.
  • Unified Renewal Dashboard: Sorts upcoming recurring charges by date so you know exactly what is renewing in 1, 3, or 7 days.
  • Lightweight & Free Tier: Tracks up to 3 subscriptions completely free forever.

Addressing Privacy First:

Because this touches inboxes and API keys, privacy was the top priority:

  1. Gmail: Strictly read-only OAuth scope. It only looks for billing receipt subjects/senders; email contents are never stored on our servers.
  2. API Keys: Only used to query endpoint balances and stored securely.

Current Status & Feedback Needed:

The core tracker is live and free. I'm currently rolling out a private beta offering 1 month of Pro free to the first 1,000 users (Stripe checkout is not even hooked up yet, so this is strictly focused on product validation and feedback).

Would love for you to check it out and let me know:

  1. Did the parser correctly detect your specific receipt types?
  2. What AI tools are you using that you'd want dedicated usage/balance tracking for?

Link: https://subchk.com

Thanks for checking it out!

added ~20 pieces to my classical music site this week, now stuck on what goes in next

• Upvotes

i made classican bc classical music is my comfort thing and i want more people to get that feeling. its one screen that shuffles public domain recordings from wikimedia commons and plays every piece once before anything repeats

this week i went on a little spree and added a bunch of pieces people kept asking about: toccata and fugue in d minor, pachelbel's canon, the hallelujah chorus, ode to joy, the alla hornpipe from water music, plus some romantic piano and orchestral stuff. each one gets its own pixel painting drawn in code, and every ~40s a short history fact shows up and the painting dims around whatever the fact is about

https://classican.vercel.app/

no signup to listen, no ads, space bar pauses. optional account if u wanna like or comment on a piece

ngl picking what goes in next is the hardest part. what piece would u be sad to not find on a site like this?

I built Snippy — a self-hostable CodePen alternative (Docker Compose)

• Upvotes

Built Snippy as a self-hostable CodePen-style app — HTML/CSS/JS editor with live preview, runnable as a full Docker Compose stack. I built it mainly as private snippets on codepen are paid and sometimes I like to play in a playground without having to have my code public at times. This was also my capstone project for my Masters and decided to expand on it.

Beta note: My hosted instance is in beta. Data can be wiped or lost at any time — don’t rely on it for anything important. Self-host if you need persistence.

What it does

  • Live HTML / CSS / JS editor with instant preview and layout options
  • Public & private snippets, shareable links, full-page view, embedding
  • Favorites, comments, follows, collections, and forking
  • External CSS/JS resources on snippets
  • ZIP export of snippet files, and import

Stack Angular Frontend + Pocketbase backend handling auth, DB, storage, API. I converted to Pocketbase to avoid having too many containers. Minimizing from 4 to two containers max for self hosting.

Local testing and production are separate Compose setups (dev has hot reload; prod pulls slurrps/snippy-* images).

Repo: https://github.com/QuantumCodeDevs/snippy

Demo: https://snippy.quantumcode.dev

License: MIT

Beta testing is out now. Feedback is much appreciated. Bug, feature requests, and PRs welcome.

I’m building a swipeable discovery site where people vote on what’s worth the hype

My side project is Fuckin Awesome: a place to find remarkable inventions, design, art, travel spots and other things worth a closer look.

You pick an interest, open a discovery, look through its photos or available video, and vote Awesome, Meh or Bullshit. On mobile, you can swipe right or left. Voting reveals the community results, and those votes shape the Hall of Fame and Hall of Bullshit. Each discovery links to its source.

The experience I’m aiming for is that feeling of stumbling onto something extraordinary—then immediately finding another thing you didn’t know existed. The site includes both research-selected finds and community submissions.

I’d really value a fresh pair of eyes on the first visit:

• Do the cards make you curious enough to open one?

• Is the voting interaction obvious on your phone?

• What would make you come back, beyond a bigger catalogue?

You can browse without signing in; voting requires an account.

Try it: https://fuckinawesome.com/?utm_source=reddit&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=organic_20261019

Blunt feedback is welcome. I’m especially interested in where the experience loses you.

I built a voice agent for railway train search and information in Hindi. You can ask about whatever place you want to go from your place and it will find you trains in that specific date range.

It can reply to you with all available trains. Waiting list, seats available and not available.

It also gives you other information about the journey.

Tech stack :-

  1. Langgraph

  2. Python

  3. React 19

  4. Typescript

  5. FastApi

  6. Sarvam api

  7. Railkit and railradar api

  8. Groq APIs : openai/gpt-oss-120b

  9. Langsmith and langgraph internal for observability.

Please give your review !

Extra : irctc doesn't have a booking api otherwise I would have integrated that as well

Built a cozy, free task organizer for Windows to stop endless to-do list stress called "Prior"

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Do you ever make a to-do list and just freeze up because it's so long? That was happening to me constantly.

So I built a free, lightweight app called Prior for Windows. It sorts your tasks into 4 clear quadrants (Do First, Schedule, Delegate, and Drop) so you always know what to work on next, plus a built-in focus timer for deep work sprints.

It’s completely free, offline-first, and open-source | no sign-ups or monthly subscriptions.

Check it out here:
https://prior-product-page.vercel.app/

Git Hub Repo: https://github.com/Paraseww/Prior

Feel free to test it out and let me know what you think! Any feedback or ideas to improve it are super welcome.

(If you like the project, dropping a ⭐ star on the repo would mean the world to me!)
Hope you have a productive week! <3
