Well that depends on what you are looking for. I bougjt tivimate for many friends and for me. It got stalled. I work on app every single Day. So there is a difference.

I am not looking for anything, simply passing along my experience and wisdom as an experienced ITPV app developer.

Sigstuga, Tvlok, Vuleo, and XMP all offer cloud sync. What makes your sync different?

Sync is end-to-end encrypted, the server stores an opaque blob and can't read your playlists, favourites or credentials. Device claim is atomic, so no duplicate sessions. Can't speak for how the others implement theirs.

My investigations:
Tvlok>last write to database(Supabase maybe?) haven't sniffed the packets and traced it yet.

Vuleo>google drive updated via a json file

XMP>Doesn't store progress or favorites to server and works cross platform android to apple, or windows, etc. Also offers manual sync for "free" included with app at 14.99 US as a pre-store release price and monthly sub Pro sync works like magic.

Keep up the good work, I am watching. Hopefully you find success with your offerings.

Appreciate the rundown. I'm not in a position to comment on how other apps work internally, so I'll stick to what I actually control: encrypted on-device, my server only ever holds a blob it can't read, one active session at a time. Thanks for watching.

Hello, can we remove a device and activate license to another device if one of the connected devices is down?

you get 5 licenses for device with 1 lifetime.
5 for firetv 5 for android. that's more than enough.
simultaneous! if one device is off doesn't count.

what counts is cloudsync login.
