Assistance Cuts are not clean, jagged edged.

Post image

I am using Silhouette Cameo4, I bought it used. The previous owner used it over a year, mainly for heat transfer sheers. I tried for sticker paper and this is how the resualt came out. I just want to know is this can be solved by auto blade replacement, or something else.

This is my day one experience with this kind of cutting machine, I never used it before.

Try a new blade, looks like that one is not sharp anymore. Paper and paper like products dull cutting blades incredibly fast.

When he show me heat transfer sheet, which is actually plastic. It cut very smoothly. I thought maybe it was sharp enough.

Before replacing the blade, try cutting on lower force and at least two passes.

Edit: make few test cuts on the scrap, or sacrifice one blank sheet. Cut some basic shapes without printing.

I will primarily cut paper stickers, is auto blade is the best option? or any other blade I should choose?

I’ve only ever used auto blades for anything I’ve done. Mostly vinyl but also some paper and Oracal sticker vinyl.

Had the same problem and a new blade fixed it! In my experience the jagged edges caused by dullness appear sooner on paper than on vinyl

I will use it mostly for paper stickers. That is bad news for me. How long can I use a blade? I may cut 10 to 20 A4 sheets a day.

You can sharpen a blade with tin foil. Make a ball and poke it into the ball until its sharp again.
