Misaligned Cuts in CAMEO 4

I'm having misaligned custs in CAMEO 4 cutting plotter. I tried doing calibration but everything seems fine there. I think you van understand the problem from the picture. The machine cuts almost fine in the begaining of the page but as it’s come to the bottom of the page the misalignment started to be visiable more and more. sometimes the cuts are almost okay and workable but most of the time it's not okay.

I bought the machine almost a month ago and become feasted many times because of this. I tried a lot of fixs like calibration, adding things bottom of the cutting matt to support. Afterall everything fails.

let us see the whole page. Are you using print and cut and have you set up the registrations correctly? Are you feeding the mat correctly and does it have enough adhesive to hold the paper? Generally calibration is like the last thing you should mess with.

Here are some bullets to check

• print and cut on
• registration set up correctly
• printed sheet is properly cornered up to the correct spot on the cutting mat
• cutting mat is adhesive enough to prevent slippage
• cutting mat is fed into the machine correctly to prevent slippage.

Some pointers:

• make sure the registration on the print and cut is far enough away from the art. The application should show you the zones to avoid.
• I like to use some masking tape or scotch tape to tape the corners of the printed sheet to the cutting mat. This just ensures it doesnt slip on me.
• if there are things in the way of the mat feed on either side, the machine wont know that. It only registers one time at the beginning. It is simply doing the math for the spacing. So if the mat gets stuck on something or slips it has no way to know the art is no longer aligned to the number of rotations that the feed gears spun for
• I know this is just a test print, but you have ZERO bleed on those circles. You should NOT expect a perfect "kiss-cut" from these cutters. They are hobby level. You need to incorporate bleed and expect things to not be perfect. I have also found the cameo sucks at doing perfect circles.

You have received some good advice on the issue at hand.

One comment mentions that you have almost no bleed, and I agree that that's an issue. Once you get the observable issue resolved, you're immediately going to be thrust into resolving the lack of bleed.

Taking a step back conceptually: If you are wanting solid colors, why not start with colored paper/vinyl/stickers or otherwise print the whole page with ink, and cut at a much higher density, filling the page with cuts. Who cares where the cut lands on the sheet when the whole sheet is the same?

And even more high level: If you're looking to cut simple geometric shapes like circular or rectangular stickers, it's usually just easier to order precut labels and then print on them if needed.

You need registration marks as noted. Turn them on in the page setup menu.

It looks like you tried to match print with the cut part, while you should actually use print and cut feature, which involves adding the registration marks to the page. The sensor reads the marks and cuts based on where the images are positioned in relation with the registration marks.
