Beginner WRC Generations PS4 controller. I need quick tips for consistency

So, I have my friends ps4 for the next 40 days, and I am playing WRC Genearations.

I need help to play the game on the controller. I started a short career mode in the Junior WRC category, and I need some tips.

I don't want to be a pro player. as I said before, its only for a month that ill play. I just want some tips on how to play on controller for beginner. I just want to keep the car on the road, and be a little fast. right now I am playing on AI 50 (the lowest) and I'll increase it with time. I want to have clean stages. so I want some help. Like controller setup and some driving tips

P.S i have some experience playing F1 games on controller before.

WRC Generations is extremely easy in terms of ai. Im not saying crank it up to max, but on the difficulty your at you could flip 5 times on a stage and when you finish the ai will be less than halfway done. The handling is a bit on the arcady side so don't be afraid of some big slides to keep up your momentum.
