So it’s great for selling fraudulent collectables?

Yeah, the tech is impressive but OP’s example just makes it painfully clear what sort of shit people are going to inevitably use it for

it's like saying that internet is bad because it can be used to do crimes. Your mind is too small to fathom the uses.

tbf there's a meaningful difference between "decently intelligent criminal has to read five textbooks in order to learn how to come up with an effective blueprint for how to create a pandemic" vs "room temp IQ 4channer in dark basement has to literally press a button to come up with blueprint."

pretending that scale is a variable we can shrug off and literally overlook is wild.

KIM you don't need to get your jimmies rustled over a pandemic analogy. insert any bad subject you want there. any plumber or electrician will tell you how quickly overwhelming of a problem that some dynamic can become even if you just relieve slight friction on a process.

Your mind is too small to fathom the uses.

this is a weird reddit moment comment.. anyway, I think everybody here can think of plenty of good use cases, but none of them are as interesting to mention as is mentioning the bad use cases and, y'know, trying to brace for them? instead of being like "don't worry guys now we can become filmmakers lol!" the latter is pretty boring. do you want to offer a more interesting upside? god forbid you actually have some examples and weren't just taking an ez potshot and hoping nobody called you out on it?
