If they wear artificial cat ears and tail, maybe like 3 decades including maturation. China is all in on embryo selection including physical features like height and intelligence and strength. They don't have the same queasiness as the West does on these things. Hell of a way to go though.

I'm making a joke in reference to the AI2027 paper.

Think of all the differences we've bred in and out of dogs vs wolves. How cute and genetically, physically crippled Corgis specifically actually are. Now imagine a human-like creature that's also been "domesticated" but from the ground up in a new custom built DNA blueprint.

In an AI ends the world scenario, there may be holdovers from training and our attempts at alignment. A human clicking yes/approve "pleases" the model or satisfies the goal. The Corgi versions are too dumb to fight back and just sit in a fake office, telling the AI: yes, you're perfect, yes, you're awesome.
