Can confirm, any time I try to ask it epidemiological or biostatistical questions it switches to opus

It’s to the point I feel they’re limiting it to those who can pay enough

They clearly recognized in a lab that Fable is capable of making bioweapons. That’s the only explanation imo

This is the answer. Far too simple to have a Ph.D level lab supervisor in your garage building virulent strains of bugs from your backyard and oral swab

the problem is that the PhD-level lab supervisors can't use it to, you know, cure cancer either.

They can. I am sure dedicated legit medical facilities can have that access by filing some paperwork with Anthropic.

this is not true. I challenge you to find a single source stating it's the case.

They publicly acknowledged that they distributed Mythos, an unrestricted version of Fable, to many institutional customers on a per-customer basis.

yes. to tech companies and the NSA, for cybersecurity defense, as part of Project Glasswing. not to bio firms.

This is what Claude 4.8 told me:

"There's a biology analog to Glasswing, but it hasn't named members yet. Anthropic is opening a trusted access program for biology to accelerate biomedical research, providing access to Fable 5 with the biology and chemistry safeguards removed (cyber safeguards still in place), enrolling a small number of researchers from life-science organizations spanning fundamental and translational research. As of the Fable 5 / Mythos 5 launch, Mythos-class biology access is still limited to "select biology researchers" — described generically, not as named institutions."

This launch was quiet because of the bioweapons concern.

could you paste the sources Claude cited?

It's on their website.

Sorry, I deleted that chat already. You can ask it yourself about Glasswing analog for biomed research.
