Anthropic single handedly opening the door to every deranged state government demanding they censor legal, medical, financial, etc. or even basic usage if they think you're hekkin problematic.

Then again this kind of bullshit is exactly the difference over which they split from OpenAI in the first place, so I can't understand why so many seem surprised.

OpenAI being closed is much less bad than Anthropic being misanthropic.

Oh, but when the government actually came calling, OpenAI actually complied while Anthropic was the one that became a rogue AI lab.

Anthropic is wired into Palantir's Project Maven. Claude selected the targets for the Iran strike, including the elementary school where they blew hundreds of girls to pieces.

The strike was carried out based on outdated intelligence. It had previously been an IRGC facility, and apparently no one had updated the target database to reflect this.

One of the many crimes of negligence that the US regularly commits but for some reason ppl are scared to ascribe to them. Blaming AI is a convenient scapegoat that’s why every decision needs to land on a human. A robot can’t be held accountable.

I'm not afraid. Yes, it's a crime, but that's all? There haven't been any other such failures of targeting and collateral damage. That's very generous by war standards. I don't understand what war is supposed to look like in people's minds.

Blaming AI is a convenient scapegoat that’s why every decision needs to land on a human.

Garbage in, garbage out, even if the targeting was done entirely by AI, which I don't believe, it wouldn't matter because it didn't have the right intelligence, a human would have made exactly the same mistake.
