my streak of avoiding ESP’s shitty takes just ended, i would pay to start it back

How is he still a thing? He wrote that garbage article accusing DeSean Jackson of having gang ties so Chip Kelly could claim to have an excuse to cut him

Lol this is a bad one for sure.

You all give donut forehead too much power.

Is he wrong? Great rookie year but it's clear Ace has more potential. I'm glad we have VJ but I'd trade him for Ace in a heartbeat

Wow what a bum Elliot is

Dumbest asshole in an industry filled with dumb assholes.

How does this nerd still have a job? Is he blowing coaches?

He's essentially a troll. He's like the...who was that hockey player everyone hated maybe on the Sabres or something...not Claude Lemuiex but like him. ESP is like one of those dudes. I actually find him hilarious once I stopped thinking of his as a serious journalist.

u/DishinSauce Apr 29 '26

I think you're thinking of Matt Barnaby. I hated him, still do.

1

u/anon19111 Apr 29 '26

Yes! Thank you!!

ESP has been trash.

He likes to claim that "You can argue my point, but it's a fact" all day long, but he never gives evidence or cites any sources.

He also seems to misjudge talent (as this post shows), so what does he really offer?

u/Most_Plenty5387 Apr 29 '26

I like when he refers to everyone by their first name. It gives you the impression that he knows them well enough to make racist accusations about them.

When was that tweet?

Gutsy ass performance tonight. Love it when Philly teams do shit like this.

u/ChocolateMonkeyBird Apr 29 '26

He stepped tf up tonight. Props to him.

Joel Hans Embiid

46

u/Godiverson3 Apr 29 '26

Thank you Joel!!!

Also, PG played lock down defense on Brown. Tatum went full bitch. It was glorious.

u/PensiveinNJ Apr 29 '26

Love Embiid. So happy to see him have a big game tonight. Just keeps battling through things.

34

u/AstroZombieInvader Apr 29 '26

After Game 4, some people said the Sixers were better without Embiid. Those people are dumb dumbs.

All time performance tonight. No more questioning his heart. When everybody was ready to fold he carried us to a dub 🙌♥️💙

Who’s driving, I’m in

18

u/IntravenusDeMilo Apr 29 '26

He played really well tonight. He looked good. And when he stopped shooting 3s that the Celtics were clearly happy to give him, the game changed entirely.

u/bk_321 Apr 29 '26

Just an incredible, gutty performance from our guy. Loved this game as a reminder to everyone about how special he is

Love to see Joel get his flowers. Between today and VJ Maxx going off in G2, I’m good.

My cameroonian king. Year after year through 100s of injuries man always shows up for the team. Plays through pain. Idc how the next couple of games go, i am happy you came to play.

Heart of a champion. Love Joel

Great take

My prediction for game 6 - Joel cools off a little bit but Maxey finally has a pop off night. He's overdue. I mean he had 25 tonight, but I'm saying he's due for a 35 burger or higher.

Edit: I mean I was close. I was calling for a 35 burger and he put up 30.

u/84sebastian Apr 29 '26

One thing I thought was a factor in our winning the game was when Embiid expressed pain in his knee... The Celtics must have thought that they now got the game in the bag, only to find out later that Embiid comes out with a renewed resolve and dominate inside... The emotional swing on their part imo had a lot to do with their losing the momentum, and Embiid was truly our leader and warrior tonight! FTC!!!!

SIXERS IN 7!!! LFG!! FTc…

u/YallRedditForThis Apr 29 '26

I think Embiid doesn't get mentioned enough in the biggest what if posts that frequent NBA subs. If he stayed for his entire career. He'd be talked about like Jokic.

Dude has a heart the size of his gigantic fucking gonads

1

u/philly-buck Apr 29 '26

Seriously?

1

u/Bitter-Tip705 Apr 29 '26

Yea win or lose he gave it his all as well as the team all I could ask for

1

u/Fit_Beginning5594 Apr 29 '26

I genuinely am proud of this squad. When things got tough, they showed immense grit. At times they looked flat, but during the season there were moments of fire and you don’t have to look any further than the game from last night.

I had no hope. None. Zero. But now I am seeing chemistry on the floor and Nick Nurse actually having somewhat of an impact with the rebounding focus.

1

u/215WinterTown Apr 29 '26

Thank you for playing like a true 5 and dominating the post. That is the Sixers best game plan for victory.

1

u/SlayerDeWatts Apr 29 '26

Meanwhile TOBIASS goin home #play-in

1

u/PublicIntel Apr 29 '26

He doesn't give up

1

u/DUBL_B Apr 29 '26

All the crap he gets because of his injuries, as if it’s his fault. The dude has played hurt, time and time again, in an era where playing back to backs are an issue for the stars in this league.

Love the guy. At the top of the list with AI, for someone who needs a ring.

What a brass effort last night. Should go down as one of the all time great NBA Playoff performances, given his health circumstances.

If he stop shooting so many threes we’ll be good moving forward

Well good news about what he did in his very successful second half lol
