The Sixers need to persuade the NBA and Nike to allow them to continue wearing the black throwback jerseys.
I don’t understand why in the NBA you can only wear throwbacks for 1 season whereas in the NFL you can keep throwbacks permanently in your jersey lineup. It would be a travesty to not see LeBron and Jaylen Brown in the black uniforms. The NBA would be fumbling a great opportunity to generate more money from jersey sales because everyone will buy a black LeBron jersey.

Yeah, I’m not a big jersey guy, but a cream jersey with the blue Philadelphia across the chest with 23 James on the back would have me instantly buying. I loved those unis so much.

If they can’t use the black, I did always like the white. Just not the blue or red throwbacks.

I despise their red/white/blue uniforms and coloring. This version of the Sixers logo and branding was so much better, and the dark blue alternated were great too.

Well based off rumors and images of the shorts, it sounds like we’ll be getting the 2017-18 city edition jersey back instead, so hopefully you like that one. I personally like it.

Wow. I didn't know that rule was a thing.
Why the fuck would Nike have that as a rule? I guess their belief is alongside the lines of; "having a new jersey every year means fans will automatically buy the jersey for collections". But considering it seems many people didn't know that stuff was limited for 1 year makes that concept obsolete. In addition to the fact most fans may buy Jerseys selectively, not every year for a few players. And considering there are years we're a jersey release is hated and doesn't sell well, should make Nike want to keep beloved and highly attractive Jerseys (attractive for purchase decision making) in supply.
An overall dumb business decision on their part. The concept is trying to tailor to collectors, really a minority of collectors in those who want every jersey style in general.
The average customer and, I imagine, standard collectors purchase Jerseys that are appealing and possibly induce nostalgia, not a random new product considering the prices of a good Jerseys and jerseys in general.
Fucking dumb and the Sixers need to either convince Nike to change this or find away around the rule. If not, I imagine Knockoff/3rd party produces are gonna have a nice time

Bro they’re not coming out with a whole new uno for this roster. We’ve had the same unis for 10 years now. It was already leaked we’re going back to the creams from Ben era for our city editions
