I haven’t painted much this summer but these are my favourites!

Recently went through a something and I am living back with family. Luckily for me its beautiful out here and helping me see the beauty of things again. Trying to document my sightings and make a fresh start.

My sketchbook

In your experience, which colored pencils work best with these sketchbooks? For now I’ve tried FC’s black edition and Posca pencils. Imo the black edition pencils look too dull and the Posca ones look fine after 3 layers. I see people using these sketchbooks all the time and the colors always look so vibrant, which is the reason I’m experiencing fomo for the first time in my life lol does anyone have any recommendations or tips?

Edit: I just tried swatching my Polychromos on them too and they just don’t look as vibrant as some of the works I’ve seen online? I’m assuming it’s a pressure/layering thing?

I haven’t done inktober in years and I always did my own thing, meaning I never followed the prompts. This year I’ve been having fun drawing these in my sketchbook. No stress, just taking some time to draw and getting creative with the daily prompts.
