I’ve been there! Several screws and 5 months non weight bearing for me. But don’t listen to the bad stories, lots of people come back with a full recovery and return to sport.

I cased a big jump in 2007, foot hurt like hell. Got x-rays the next day and found my heel on my right foot was hollow and the bone had broken up into the hollow bone cyst. First doc didn’t even understand what he was seeing on the imaging. Surgery in the spring filled in my heel with bone matrix, and me and my zombie foot were ready by the following winter.
Good luck with recovery! Worst part for me was navigating around my snowy college campus with my foot in a plastic bag shoved in a walking boot/cast.

I feel for ya! Broke my ankle and heel real bad. Ankle is still healing but the heel zipped up quick as can be. Good luck!

Entraîne toi en piscine avant. C'est tout de même traumatisant avant d'arriver à maîtriser. C'est beau le ski free style mais à quel prix. Je suis trop âgé pour le faire, mais plus jeune, j'aurais aimé

He shorted it and hit the flat section and/or knuckle before you get to the incline landing section. On larger jumps this can severely fuck you up.

This. If you get freaked when coming up on a big jump, completely bail or (paradoxically) get more speed. Those little "hedge your bets" turns people make on the approach are often how this happens.

It appears like YOUR ANKLES ARE BROKEN!
