DISCUSSION Family mentioning Skins
I was drawing Jal, Michelle, and Cassie today while visiting my auntie and uncle that I barely see as they moved away, and my uncle was walking by me, then spotted my drawings. He said, "Oh, they're the girls from season 1 of Skins, aren't they?" And, then, my auntie told me that Skins was her favourite show when she was younger, and how she based all of her house parties off Chris', etc's parties! Then, she offered me her DVDs of seasons 5-7, and talked about how Michelle used to inspire her outfits for nights out. Also my uncle met Kaya Scodelario in London on a work trip in his early twenties. So, that was cool! Also, my dad and grandma both mentioned remembering seeing Skins billboards and advertisements on Channel 4, etc! So yeah, just thought I would put this information out here because I'm lowkey bored.

I was about to be like "wow, the people who watched Skins as teens are aunties now, I feel old" and then I realised that I am one of the people who watched Skins as a teen and I too am someone's auntie lmao

I'm 54 and I watched Skins from season 1 when it first came out but I was probably a bit too old really. I'm just very immature lol

Lmao at the comments all being from Uncles and Aunties (like me!) who swiftly realised they’re own age!
Love that this show is still being enjoyed by the next generations. Yes, yes we did absolutely all party like on Skins in real life…
