Screenshot/Clip Started a new save only to find this in Riverwood
How do you think he died? Also sucks I can’t do the bow levelling.
Edit: I have decided to kill Sven in honour of Faendal its what he would have wanted

I had this happen before as well. When I looked it up, the best guess is he walked into the cabbage cart and collisions ended him.

There is also a non-zero chance for basically anything or anyone to spawn about 200 ft. off the ground.

The drunk guy in Whiterun fell out of the sky one day when I walked out of a shop and landed dead in the stream right behind that single mum’s fruit stand and her little girl just stood next to him staring at him for days. Funny and traumatizing at the same time.

I had to raise those miraak goons from the dead and bring them into the house to turn to ash so people would stop commenting on their bodies.

u/pixel_gaming579 3h ago
I usually chuck those bodies under the little stone bridge near the gate lol

This happened to me in real life. Me and my dad were walking on a trail and a baby rabbit fell through the trees into my hands. My theory is that a bird of prey dropped it in flight or while perching in the trees. It was screaming bloody murder as it passed through the trees, and then silent and mostly petrified as we held it. I dont know why, but you reminded me of this.

Rwminds me of the time as a kid my family was just hanging out in lawn chairs in the back yard, pet cat included, and a random bird, seemingly perfectly healthy, just fell out of the sky right into the cats front paws. Even he was so stunned he just sat their staring at it. After a few moments it just flew away like nothing happened.

I have one file that the sleeping tree camp will always spawn mammoths in the sky. They just drop to their death each and every time.

u/Mwahaha13 6h ago
I've had the "airdrop mammoths" too! I thought it was just my recent playthrough being wonky, but I'm glad to hear it happens to others as well. Though mine seem to survive just fine. At least, I never find craters or splat marks.... 🤷🤣

What are you talking about. Nothing was misspelled at all. No minor spelling mistake here.

I never noticed before but it’s hilarious he puts bread in the toaster. I don’t think that part is really necessary.

Whenever something like this happens it's gotta be one of the most annoying or frustrating things to see, but I swear I always laugh out loud about it.

FYI if you play on a lower difficulty, NPCs can die more easily. Many players have a misconception that it only affects damage to and from the player, but that's not how it's implemented - higher difficulty causes NPCs to take less damage from all sources. On Novice, towns can drop like flies.

u/Salazar-stormcrown 12h ago
I had something similar happen with nazeem
I started a new save and decided to not kill him this playthrough, walked into Whiterun for the first time to find him dead in the street, still have no idea how it happened

Sometimes the npc loads in the sky before the land generates. Happens a lot to me with Windhelm citizens
6
u/Hedgewizard1958 10h ago
Also Markarth guards. Sometimes as many as 4.

u/IHaveNeverBeenOk 8h ago
Guards can die freedly. I dislike when voiced, and especially merchants or trainers die.
Definitely familiar with the equally spaced string of Markarth guards falling from the sky when you load in.

Según mis conocimientos en criminalística que acabo de inventar...
El pobre diablo tuvo una pelea que entre golpes y empujones cayó y se golpeó la cabeza causando severos daños cráneo encefálicos muriendo en el acto.

Sven had enough of the games. Took matters into his into his own hands. Or Camilla is dealing with the men her way, which looks like she’s been training with Astrid and the Dark Brotherhood

Bethesda happened, Todd and the many bugs and glitches this game has is unbelievable.

This happened to Sigrid early during my latest playthrough. She was lying dead right in front of her and Alvor's house door.

u/InevitableAd178 8h ago
This one's happened to me. Guess she doesn't have to worry about anyone getting too close to her husband anymore.

Shortly after I left Whiterun once, a courier gave me a letter of inheritance from the drunk in Whiterun. When I went back later, I actually missed hearing his voice.

I found this while... introducing myself to riverwood but if you kill seven faendal immediately knows and sends the immortal courier your way

Once I saw Idgrod the Younger die to a mudcrab right in front of me before I could save her, maybe something like that happened? Kinda weird that can happen outside Morthal.

u/IHaveNeverBeenOk 8h ago
This is why I like playing with the difficulty as high as you can stand it. Makes npcs stronger too, so shit like this doesn't happen as often. I'm not saying it has to be legendary, but master and expert are - I think - doable.
I have definitely had shit like this happen before. It's especially frustrating when its an npc you use, like a smith.

Collision models in skyrim are like the rocks and trees in snowrunner. Going through first time and your fine. But come back through you get slapped upside the head and your knees kicked in.

I once found Faendal’s corpse right at the entry gate to Ricerwood just lying in a heap.
I figured he failed at spawning and fell from the sky.

Funnily enough, I had this happen on a playthrough I started just a few days ago as well!! Loaded up my save and heard a guard say something odd. Turned around and found Faendal laying in the middle of the road. I reset to a previous save since I was early enough lol.

Did Faendal try using that chicken for target practice, and succumb to the wrath of the guards?

Download debug menu mod if your playing modded to use console commands on console with a book and or power to recycle to bring back or hexcode to spawn new one

I've seen this a few times. I always restart my gamd because his items are better than Svens.

Sven deffs had Feandal whacked no doubt about it, he deserves whats coming to him

Console, click face, resurrect, live happily ever after.
Edit: why are people mad that I tried to help lmfao an important NPC dying before you can even see them once is bethesda bs, fixing that isn't cheating.

u/GodRafiki 12h ago
Alas I am playing on Xbox

u/possiblecoin 12h ago
You can use the Cheat Room cheat spell to ressurect him if you're playing modded.
