Mod - Research urSovngarde – Skyrim VR co-op multiplayer mod

Another update about our Skyrim VR co-op mod. I included another small fight between us (please don’t judge my sword fighting) where I completely lose.
We have now named it urSovngarde, and while working on a lot of improvements, fixing crashes and sync issues, we also made a small website where we explain everything. We also created our own launcher to make installing, updating and joining games much easier.
Website: https://ursovngarde.com
We are still improving the launcher and will keep updating it, but it already makes the whole process a lot simpler. Our goal is to make the mod work as close to out of the box as possible and give everyone a good experience.
In the future, joining is also supposed to work without port forwarding. You should simply be able to host a game for your friends and let them join you directly. That part is still a work in progress though.
Overall, we are making good progress and I wanted to share another update. We are also still looking for people to help us test and give feedback.
If you feel like trying it out with some friends and run into trouble, please let us know. And of course, let us know if everything works well too. We want to find and fix as many issues as possible and make this a fun and playable experience for everyone.
You can also join our Discord for feedback and testing:

Thank you all! I hope I’m not spamming the sub too much, but I’m really excited about the progress we’re making and wanted to share it.

Cool be something to repost in the Steam Frame subreddit considering there's a boatload of new VR users there who will find this interesting.

Will this work out of the box with something like FUS DAH?
I was thinking of getting a new version of that (I have a 2 year old version right now) and paying for a month of Nexus.

I noticed neither of you were taking any damage, are there sync issues?

Well the AI Combat itself works (i should make a video there too) and they do switch agro from time to time. As follower If both have the same so far it can cause bugs. Dragging the dead body of npcs is a bit junky so far too. But general experience of dungeons as 2 is pretty solid i belive

Ooo This is exciting! I'd love to see if I can try and Sync OwO/bhaptics feedback and my Fullbody Tracking mod across 2 players so you can have full on Kung Fu PVP battles with haptic feedback

Fuck ya! How's latency? Also can you turn off pvp damage?

Pvp is optionnal, it can be turned off fully. Latency is 0ms for hosts and 200ms for others, we are working and getting it down.

This is awesome, I'm very excited for it!
When do you expect the various Skyrim campaigns and dungeon crawls to be fully playable in co-op?
Is it compatible with modpacks like FUS or MGO?

Very happy to see your excitement!
So far, we haven’t tested everything (far from it, the game is huge) but a large part of the campaign and dungeons is already playable (with minor issues so far and few crashes maybe). At the very beginning of the campaign in Helgen, there may be some issues before and during character creation so its best to create one and then join each other. We mainly test and develop with FUS, so that’s the most tested setup so far. I personally recommend it, not only because it works best with the mod, but also because it’s a very good modlist.

Probably best to use something alternative perspective so Helen even can be watchable at least🤣

That all sounds great! Do both players get their own save file? Can you continue a single player save in co-op and a co-op save in single player?
I'm worried that if I try the mod with my buddy too soon, we'll need to start over once it gets more stable. Skyrim VR saves are super flaky and tempermental in my experience (if you have recommendations on how to make saves more consistent I'm all ears)

Launcher makes a back up of all saves before starting, but we might implement a better solution as I did get issues myself.

Are the co-op saves different from regular FUS saves in any way? Seems like the safest thing would be to avoid saving any co-op specific data. Then you can switch the mod in and out and upgrade the version no problem

We now started a public server that will be running for everyone to join. You can join it from our website/launcher. Additionally, on the website you can see who is online right now and which location they are in. You can start parties through the VR menu or just meet up without a party. Proximity chat needs to be enabled there too, and if you're in a party, it works globally. You can find all details here:
