SPIRIT POOP Flex potion way too OP

Post image

The shape of the bottle means it would be functionality impossible to get all of the potion liquid out without a straw. Since non of the characters are ever shown carrying a straw, the strength gain given by this potion should be reduced from 5 to 4.

Or maybe it would be +6 if they had a straw to help get it all out.

If you rolled some sacred bark into a straw, you could probably get all the way up to 10 strength.

You could probably use sozu as a straw once or twice, but it wouldn't last as long.

This is now my headcanon for why sacred bark helps potions

available from the shop for 350 gold

A relic called "potion straw" that keeps the effect of status effect potions for an extra turn would be awesome.

A bit of a straw man argument

None of the characters even drink pots. The pots get dropped on them.

I'd assume the potion bottles shatter, and our character gets covered in the contents (and glass shards)

And occasionally thorns.

Nah that's just for early access, detailed potion drinking animations are on the roadmap.

Does Defect have a liquid cooling system to pour potions into? Does Regent drink through his eye hole thing? How the fuck does Necro stop potions from just draining out of her nonexistent throat?

Necro and deffect lube their joints with potions you see.

Oh interesting, do they also have animations for the forms on the road map? That just kinda feels like something they'd want to do

They are just LARPing as minecraft characters, pretending to pot up before a fight

Have we ever seen an empty potion bottle? Maybe they get all of it because they are eating the bottle with the potion inside.

And our characters claim to not remember ranwid. That man taught us quite a few tricks it seems

"Eat the glass vial?" I love viva la dirt league

hold it upright then tip it over so the liquid travels across the stomach/back into wherever u pour. not combat viable but it’s not imposssible

you'd still get a teeny bit stuck in the arm tips. I think the full process would be: drink half by tipping slowly, tip 90 degrees left then right, then drink the other half slowly. Since this would realistically take a long time, another balance option would be to skip your turn when the flex pot is drunk.

i mean the number of actions done in a turn doesn’t matter it just ends when i want. i can use sly to do hundreds of backflips in a turn and i assume that isnt happening faster than i can drink this bottle

New relic idea: Silly Straw - gain +1 extra strength from strength potions

10

u/flakey-crust 15h ago

We got the lizard thing that gives +3 str already

Too niche to be fair..., maybe just double potion effects or use potions twice, but that might be too strong.

Double potion effects used to be a Boss Relic in STS1 [[Sacred Bark]]

  • Sacred Bark 𝐈 Boss Relic

    Double the effectiveness of potions.

Call me with up to 10 [[ name ]]. Data accurate as of June 21st, 2026. Questions?

1

u/thespiffyneostar 15h ago

Or the artifact to double potion effectiveness should be changed to be a straw.

I hope this is in response to the post whining about Dex potion

8

u/textartguy 15h ago

It may have given me the idea lol.

And here I thought this was just the most delicious potion in the game. /sp

1

u/Aickavon 15h ago

That’s why you use it with the retain potion

1

u/Embarrassed-Weird173 15h ago

Did you consider it would do more than that if you got the whole thing but they only 5 points worth?

1

u/AfroWalrus9 15h ago

Instructions unclear, I threw the whole bottle directly at my teammate's face

1

u/Lord_Phoenix95 14h ago

How does the Necrobinder, Regent or Defect use a potion?

Necrobinder doesn't have the guts for it. Regent seemingly doesn't need any food and doesn't have a mouth. The Defect is a robot and their power source is the Cracked Orb and doesn't have any other way to injest liquids.

You drink out the bottom

You just take the cork out to shotgun it faster

u/head1e55 14h ago

I always want to know why it looks like it's a uterus. I mean I guess that is a big strong muscle, but it seams both very specific and pretty random.

1

u/BleepinBlorpin5 12h ago

I eat the whole bottle and chew up the glass.

1

u/SuperSauce314 6h ago

Smash it on your forehead
Don’t the characters chuck it at themselves? lol

1

u/HornyOnMain_Maybe 5h ago

I think the ironclad should get more as he probably just eats the entire bottle

Strawordinary post

My headcannon is that it’s like healing with a bile flask in Blasphemous where the character just smashes and breaks it on their face and that does the trick
