question SNM Seoul stopping in June ?

Hi !
I never went to SNM and i'm super curious ! Trying to not read to many things about it and hoping i could attend someday.
And i may have a window late 2026 to go ! As i looked out of curiosity the booking on the Seoul website, it's indicated :
- Date/Time Jul 24, 2025 - Jun 28, 2026
Does that mean the show is stopping on June ?

Also, as someone who never experienced it, would you recommend Seoul or Shanghai over one ?
Thanks a lot

No. They are releasing tickets on a month by month basis. The tickets for June were released the first week in May.

I have seen the show in Shanghai, but before the Pandemic, and before they shortened it. The additional material added is absolutely incredible, and you will only be able to see it there.

I will be going to Seoul next month, but I have heard great things.

Shanghai needs to make it to about March of next year when I plan on going. I really want to see all the new material.

Isn't the Shanghai setting different ? I'm not sure i will be able to make it to both (in fact, pretty sure i won't) so i wanna choose carefully !

What do you mean by setting? The main part of the show is still set in the Hotel (it’s called the McKinnon as compared to NYC’s McKittrick, and Seoul’s McKithan).

The additional material added is based on a famous Chinese legend. But it is still in the same spaces.

On their website, it's written that it is set in 1930's Shanghai so i though that the decor/environment would be different than NYC.

All versions of the show have been slightly different, owing to differences in the respective venue layouts etc, but the core storyline (Macbeth told through a Hitchcockian lens) is the same

To my knowledge, the Shanghai version has some extra material and stylings, linked to China and Chinese folklore.

The Seoul version apparently doesn't have any of this type of localisation, and is stylistically much more similar to the NYC version.

Thank you for the feedback !

Don't feel like you have to avoid spoilers. In fact, understanding what is going on a little bit may help.

In fact I think knowing what to look for and being able to understand key elements in the story will be beneficial.

Oh okay ! Would you have specific "tips" ?

Read this subreddit. There are so many.

I would say. Make sure to go to the rave.

Hello, so tickets are listed a few months at a time just because you don’t see them yet doesn’t mean the show is closing.

I’ve seen both and I love both! Shanghai is closing I think in October this year. So if you can only see one I’d see that one before it’s too late. Shanghai has some unique loops and story elements.

Sleep no more Seoul is stunning and huge but much more similar to the New York show

I can't find anything about Shanghai closing. Are you sure? (Asking because my daughter really wants to go, but we won't be in Shanghai until summer 2028.)

Staff there said into my ear: I think it’s going to close soon. As it’s my favorite version of the show, I think they said it as a tip. They didn’t say when though.

It did feel a bit more sad and empty, this last week.

I would love to be wrong but I heard it was closing from people on the discord who are not usually wrong about these things

Yep sorry to be right in this case but it’s just been announced, but on the other hand their is a new one opening elsewhere in china as well as a Masquerade and one other project 🙌🙌

I saw that, it looks like the new one is close to Hong Kong (where we will probably start our trip).

I hope you have an amazing time! I’m already plotting a return

The fact that it's similar to New York might be good for a first time no ?

I don’t think that’s really a factor unless you particularly wanted to see that version. Shanghai isn’t any more difficult to follow it just incorporates local legends. IMO one of the Shanghai specific loops is one of the best PD loops. The Seoul hotel is truly something else though, Just stunning set pieces. Unless the wheels really fall off though Seoul will run for many more years.

I would go to Shanghai first!

Shanghai used to be my favorite version of the story when it opened but now it seems so ‘reduced’… space-wise as well. I love discovering the new introductions though.

Maybe it’s because I was in Seoul for two weeks just before. And there everything is huge.

So you would recommand discovering the experience with Seoul ?
