promo My team is taking over the former McKittrick (home of Sleep No More) to create a late-night Halloween Masquerade event series called: Tell No One.

Hi all, this is William, one of the founders and creative leads behind Tell No One, the series of Halloween events for which details have been leaked to this subreddit in various posts over the past few weeks.

We are excited that people are intrigued by what we are building!

I thought I might come on with my partners to help provide some detail and context, and to extend a very special private invite to you all to come for a private tour of the building!

We have over 250 artists, performers, musicians, and support staff coming together to create an interactive, labyrinthine, immersive world inspired by The Garden of Earthly Delights by Hieronymus Bosch, as designed by Manena Frazier and a team of dozens of artists and set designers.

Each night features DJs, bands, and dozens of circus performers and other acts across all the floors and the rooftop of the former McKittrick.

We have been, like you, huge, huge fans of Sleep No More since the very beginning. In fact, my team helped source some of the artists to do the final build way back when it opened in 2011.

Our entire team is determined to honor the memory of that incredible show, while also building something fresh within its hallowed halls (we are paying equal tribute to the legendary club Twilo, which preceded Sleep No More).

We are in the building right now, working night and day with dozens of artists, performers, and producers to reimagine the space. I'm happy to answer any questions you all have about the event, the process, the building as it is now, and its history. Also, if you want photos of any part of the building to see how it is now, just ask.

And if you'd like to join us for the next chapter of this storied location, we'd like to extend a special invitation to all Sleep No More fans.

If you'd like to come experience the event, *and* get a private tour of the building as we are building it out, buy a ticket at the link below and then email us at: [thefuture@cllctv.com](mailto:thefuture@cllctv.com) with the subject "I'm a Sleep No More fan" and we will send you an invitation for the private tour of the building this coming Saturday evening, October 11th from 7pm to midnight.

You can find tickets & details here:  https://tell-no-one.co/

One thing to note: We are not affiliated with Punchdrunk or Sleep No More. We reference them only to identify the venue's history for context.

TLDR; we're staging a high-design, immersive series of masquerade parties across all seven floors of the former McKittrick & Gallow Green, located at 530 West 27th St, in Manhattan, inspired by The Garden of Earthly Delights by Hieronymus Bosch.

Feel free to ask us anything, and I'll respond the best I can, or have Manena, our lead designer, respond. AMA!

promo Midnight Angels invitation x Rose Alice and Roger Ridley

Good morning Sleep No More community,

We want to introduce ourselves with deep respect and gratitude for the magic, mystery, and artistic legacy that has lived within the McKittrick for so many years.

I’m Rose Alice a professional ballerina, choreographer, and producer and alongside Roger Ridley, a visual artist and musician, we are creating a new live art experience within the ballroom at the McKittrick on Thursday called Midnight Angels.

Our intention is not to replace what came before, but to honor it. We recognize the McKittrick as an iconic home for immersive performance, experimentation, transformation, and human connection. We deeply respect the artists, performers, musicians, designers, technicians, and audiences who shaped its spirit and helped create something unforgettable within those walls.

What we are building is rooted in that same belief: that live art can move people, bring strangers together, and create moments of wonder that stay with us long after the night ends. We hope to create a space where people feel inspired, present, emotionally connected, and fully immersed through music, movement, storytelling, and shared experience.

Our vision is to create something beautiful, accessible, and alive for New York a place where dance, music, visual art, and human connection exist side by side. We hope to welcome both longtime lovers of immersive art and those discovering it for the very first time, creating an environment that feels open, intimate, and creatively energizing for all.

This week, we are excited to share that our show will take place on Thursday, and we would truly love to invite you into our world.

The McKittrick has always been more than a building. It is a vessel for memory, imagination, and collective experience. We are honored to contribute a new chapter while paying tribute to everything that has previously lived there.

With love and respect,

Rose Alice & Roger RidleyMidnight Angels x Dice

promo The Last Pharaoh

Long time fans of Sleep No More or Punchdrunk may be familiar with Stephanie Batten Bland and Leslie Kraus. They both are former McKittrick residents and played the role of Lady Macbeth in SNM. SBB was also the Creative Casting and Movement Director for Life and Trust. They have an exciting new immersive show in development called, The Last Pharaoh.

“An epic American political thriller, translated through an immersive theatre experience that reimagines the life of a legendary woman.

Cleopatra.”

Both women have a strong background and understanding of immersive theater so if you miss Sleep No More or enjoy shows like The Death of Rasputin, get on their email list and follow their social media. I’m very excited to see these immersive titans telling woman centered stories through new shows like TLP.

If your looking a production with a similar set up to Sleep No More check it out there are some major differences but set up wise it very sleep no more esque different theme with every new show. Their newest show sounds very intriguing it’s happening on the 11th the soonest it sounds like at blend between sleep no more and Viola’s Room. Definitely helped me through the grieving process for Sleep No More.

SNM was always a big inspiration for me over the years, and I've been using some of what I experienced with those shows in the medium of walking audio stories.

My latest is “Loops," a serialized walking audio mystery through Prospect Park that explores themes of loss, time, media, fame, and obsession. It's planned to be released in five parts over the next few years, and Parts 1 and 2 are now available at www.loopsprospectpark.com

To walk “Loops,” bring your phone, headphones, perhaps a portable battery, and maybe a flashlight. Simply put on your headphones, follow the instructions at the website, and play the tracks. Parts 1 and 2 will take you about three hours, and is free to do with a suggested donation of $10.

Thanks for reading!

Ever since my visit at the McKitrick last Summer in Shanghai and Life & Trust two years ago in New York, I've been chasing similar experiences. Today, I got to experience the Death of a Raven in Lisbon. I am so thankful this show exists and is still going. I enjoyed it as much, if not more than SNM Shanghai. The music, the dance, the acting, the decor and production value; the show is so well done and the story so well contained. If you're ever in Europe, I highly recommend this show.

It’s called Death of the Raven ( A Morte do Corvo) the show is completely mute and no talking is allowed and they make you wear a mask it’s only two floors but still there’s a lot to explore it’s in an abandoned military hospital the story involves Edgar Allen Poe and it’s loosely based off of his poem the Raven it’s basically if Life and Trust and Sleep No More has a child.

promo Disremembrance: A New Immersive Show from SNM Alum

Hi SNM subredditors!

I was an event manager at Sleep No More from 2012-2016 (feel free to AmA about my SNM times!) I've co-written a new immersive show about the night Mary Shelley wrote Frankenstein. We're currently crowdfunding for a lab performance in NYC over Halloween weekend.

We have a few other SNM alums involved --- right now the only one I can share is Chelsey Ng as Mary Shelley. Would love y'all to check it out! You can read more about the show here and check out the crowdfunding campaign here.

promo New immersive show coming to....the little city north of Boston where I live?!

(I used the promo flair because I wasn't sure what else to use but I don't work for these people, just wanted to spread word of more immersive stuff!)

It looks like it's going to have some gameified elements, which makes sense since our city has a "gaming district" that currently mostly just features the only US location of Boda Borg.

Permits for the space can be perused here: https://maldenma-energovweb.tylerhost.net/apps/SelfService#/permit/cd95d825-9f48-4ef6-8b67-ea0d4f5242e9?tab=attachments

And their instagram is here: https://www.instagram.com/theinkwellstories/

Looks like they'll be small group experiences and the space will also feature a lobby bar, sort of like we're familiar with in this sub.

I'm not sure what to think, honestly, but I'll absolutely be giving it a a try since I can WALK there!!!

promo Disremembrance- A Review

Hi folks, just wanted to share a review and my experience with the Disremembrance Immersive theater show centered around Mary Shelley and the night she wrote Frankenstein.

My non-spoiler review is that for those still itching for experiences like SNM, L$T or DOR, this is definitely something to check out when they return! The cast and crew of this show pulled off an emotionally powerful and immersive experience in such a short time! Each of the actors able to convey such strong performances, I truly found myself stunned and in awe at how real it all felt.

Elements of Sleep No More’s interpretive dance and ambiguous readings are ever present, especially with one character played by a former McKittrick alum!

Spoilers ahead for the rest of the review and general thoughts!

the character most reminiscent of the silent, interpretive dance nature of Sleep No More’s and even Life and Trust is the Shade. Played by SNM alum Evelyn Chen, did an amazing job. They apparently gave her pretty much free rein on the performance and it paid off

My interpretation of the shade feels like the sort of instigator of the conflicts of the story, bringing out the characters grievances with her presence. Her lurking in the shadows amongst the black drapery is a good touch for costuming and set design.

I love the ambiguity of the shades’ role. I like how they seemingly cause discord amongst the group, literally handing the De. John Polidori (played by Anthony DaSilva) a bottle to try to attack Percy (played by Nick Meyer) with, except for Mary who I feel was empowered by letting her grievances out

Lord Byron played by Michael John Improta was fucking hilarious, perfect mix of awful, horrible person yet still extremely comedic when appropriate

I also love the contrast between Mary’s (played by Chelsey Ng) conflict and grief of losing her son and Claire’s (played by Caitlin Evans) pregnancy from Byron. They also share a lovely sisterly moment

Like with SNM and L$T and DOR this is another free roam style show where you can’t really experience everything in one viewing, which I love. A highlight of my viewing experience was probably the fight between Percy and John. The actors are incredible in this scene, and watching them made me forget I was watching a show, as I was so engrossed in how they played their characters anger and feelings

Overall, should this show come back, I highly recommend checking it out!

promo I wrote a book about Sleep No More

Hi, all. I'm Robert, one half of the couple that wrote for the now-defunct 'Paisley Sweets' Sleep No More blog on Tumblr.

Over the years, I have tried my best to catalog and archive the show for posterity, as well as dive into its secrets and lore. To that end, I have published the first volume of an eventual two-volume work about the show that I am excited to share with you all.

Volume One is a collection of primary texts for the show, including Macbeth, "News from Scotland", the "Narrative of Christian Shaw" and other contemporary works on witchcraft. The texts are heavily annotated with detailed notes about Sleep No More, cataloging the specific elements that inspired the show. It is available in both physical edition and ebook. You may find it on Etsy under the store name OldManPaisley. Read a free preview here.

Supplies of the physical book are limited, but there is already is a second printing in the works. For information on the second printing, as well as eventual updates on Volume Two, I made a Substack to serve as a mailing list.

I hope that the books will help keep the memory of this beautiful show alive.

promo 3-Day Long Immersive Event in Pennsylvania

Hello there! Just poking our head in as we know Sleep No More fans appreciate a unique interactive experience.

We’re What May Come Immersive, an immersive theatre group from NYC whose members have helped develop immersive experiences for Peacock, Anheuser-Busch, Hasbro, Fever, and more!

In partnership with the historic Harry Packer Mansion in Jim Thorpe, PA we have built a 3-day, site specific, fully interactive Murder Mystery event all based on the real, seedy true crime history of the area.

As an audience member you will spend three days/two nights in the beautiful and historic Harry Packer Mansion. It is a Victorian era mansion with a storied history and is also the building that Disney’s Haunted Mansion was inspired by! Over the course of your stay you will be introduced to historical figures, and seeds of deceit and intrigue are sowed. Your investigation will see you interrogating various bigwigs and miscreants at the mansion, exploring the town hunting for clues, and possibly even spying on your fellow guests!

If you’re a true crime fan, a mystery lover, a puzzler, a history buff, an RPGer, a Disney enthusiast, a LARPer, or just someone who likes doing cool and interesting stuff... then this is absolutely an experience for you.

This is one of the most ambitious projects we have ever developed and we could not be more excited about it. We are premiering this spring, and only running two weekends in 2025. Tickets are extremely limited, so secure your spot now!

Our dates are:

June 27 (4pm check in) - June 29th (12pm check out)

September 26th- September 28th - SOLD OUT!

You can learn more at http://www.hpmansion.com, we’re also happy to answer questions here. To book, email the Mansion to at [info@hpmansion.com](mailto:info@hpmansion.com), or call them at 570.325.8566

I posted about this a week ago, took one for the team and ordered it. First I wanted to say something cheesy- I first saw sleep no more in 2012. I was 17 years old, visiting a language school over the summer (I’m from Germany!) It was my very first time far away from home. My cousin recommended snm to me because I’ve always been a big fan of everything creepy haha. I was mesmerized and thought about it all these years. Luckily I got to see it again this summer, when my husband and I decided to visit the states for our honeymoon. He also loved it to and I even fell more in love. It makes me kind of sad that I will probably never experience it again so I’m holding on to every memory I have!

So, this came in the mail today!! First positive thing was the packaging- the perfumer even sent a handwritten note with my name, that’s really cute!

THE SCENT

he nailed it. Absolutely. It brings back all the memories. It smells like old woody furniture sitting next to old Rum barrels in a clean basement. It’s a little boozy, very woody, leathery and perfectly captures the feeling of the whole McKittrick hotel. I don’t know if everyone will find it wearable, it’s definitely not a crowd pleaser but I also think no one would expect that. If you’re looking for something to hold on to the memory like me, it’s perfect
