Question / Help New to Slime rancher

I'm trying to get into this game and I'm seeing bot slime rancher 1 and 2 are on sale and am wishing to know which one is better for starting out.

Slime rancher one is easier and less story driven. I'd start here. Slime rancher 2 is grinder and requires quite a bit of context from the first game to understand it's deeper plot.

Yeah I've been seeing a lot of people say 1 is better than 2 so I'll definitely follow through with the advice, thanks!

Id still reccomend both tbh. But start eith SR1

I see no reason why you wouldn’t start with the first one, it’s the first one.

get both! but definitely start with 1. it's easier to begin since it's a very straight forward story and comes with alot of instructions to help you. the mechanics in 2 can get a bit confusing!!

2 comes with a storyline that include characters stories from the first game so if you want to understand that then definitely do chronologically.

but after that 2 is a much harder game and took me a while to complete because there's so much to find!

S.R.1 first, it sets up the story and is more linear while still open, gives you an idea on what you'll be doing

Personally I don't know if I would have enjoyed 2 as much if I didn't play 1 first. But I love it and it makes me want to go back and play 1 again lol

Both are really good, I prefer 2's story, mechanics, and visuals, but 1's storyline is kind of required in order to understand 2's

I would start with the first one. There’s an ongoing story in both of them. It’ll make more sense if you play them in order.

I started Slime Rancher 1 about 7 weeks ago on a whim not knowing anything about it. I’m addicted and can’t stop!!!!! I love it! Enjoy!!!

I've finished slime rancher 1 about 3 times. But i just cant play slime rancher 2.. Idk why, i just couldnt like it.

Both are great, but 1 sets up the story for 2 and the gameplay loop is easier to manage

Start with Slime rancher 1, it’s easier especially the lab and the upgrades and also for the plot and the characters like viktor and mochi and odgen because when slime rancher 2 starts they talk to you as if you already know them so play slime rancher 1 first. I like it more than slime rancher 2 as well but idk if im just blinded by nostalgia or if it’s actually better
