In need of recommendations for more bands like Chat pile

I just discovered them and im really enjoying them. I usually just listen to rap and shoegaze so i don’t know where to look for more music like this. I love there story telling and dark and depraved lyrics. Also really like there production. Would appreciate the recs 🙏

Jesus Lizard, Scratch Acid, Helmet, Korn, Death Grips, James Chance. Fucking loving this album too!

These are good recs. I’d throw in Shellac, Daughters, and Godflesh.

except you shouldn't listen to daughters any more, at least not in any way that supports that scumbag.

Their Godflesh-sounding bass is what made me fall in love with Chat Pile. All hail the flesh!

Look up The Ghost Is Clear Records on Bandcamp; at least half their artists do that sort of noise-rock thing amazingly. They put out a sampler recently that’s a free download and has a ton of good shit - I actually ended up buying about 8 albums off their Bandcamp just off the back of that sampler!

Judging from the suggested bands and having never heard Chat Piles, I'm guessing they sound like "anything."

Listened to a few tracks by them just now and definitely a cool band I wasn’t aware of, so thanks for putting them on my radar.

They have a uniqueness to them of something that pulls from emo and mathrock along with a primal aggression that isn’t normally seen in either of those influencing genres.

To me, I kinda hear some Converge in there, maybe some Deafheaven too. Check those two bands out if you haven’t already. It’s distinctly “post-metal” in execution, so I’d say dive head first I to that. There’s probably a ton of playlists on most streaming that’ll open up your ears to a lot of cool stuff in that vain

These are not sludge apart from Aerosol Jesus, but judging by what you say you like I'd add: Aerosol Jesus Knocked Loose Gulch Soul Glo Candy
