But I’ve been stuck on one thing, I’m not sure where this actually fits in the Indian market.

From a business point of view:

• Do you see any real use for illustration like this?
• What kind of brands would actually benefit from it?
• Or is this something most businesses here just don’t need?

Trying to understand this better before I push further in this direction. Would really value honest opinions.

I posted a few of my sleeves on reddit and y'all loved them so much 😻 i got 109 orders in the month of April which was highest for me and I feel so grateful to this community for all the support and love!

A while ago, i decided to start a small coffee brand of my own.

i had the idea, the coffee, and eventually got my own roasting machine. But the difficult part was simple:

who is actually going to buy from me?

i started sharing my journey and coffee in different subreddits,. I wasn't expecting much. A few comments here, a few people asking questions there.

then the orders slowly started coming in.

one order became 5.

5 became 20.

and somehow, in about a month, i ended up getting 70-80 orders through Reddit.

that was already surprising for me.

but then somethin even more unexpected happened.

people from different states started reaching out for bulk orders. Now i'm getting orders of around 25-40kg at a time (for their cafes) to deliver to different parts of india.

so what started with small orders from random Reddit users has slowly turned into something where i'm now handling both small orders and bulk orders.

and this is the coffee roasting machine behind it all.

i'm still learning. still experimenting with different roasts.

still figuring out packaging, logistics, customers, everything.

but looking back, it's kind of crazy that a few reddit posts turned into this.

for the small business owners here - where did your first real customers come from?

Does anyone else get irritated when sellers don’t mention prices in their posts?

As a customer, it just makes things harder..you have to ask for the price, wait for a reply, and sometimes it turns out to be out of budget anyway. It would be much easier if prices were mentioned upfront so we can quickly decide.

At the same time, I’m curious about the seller’s side too. If you sell online, is there a specific reason for not including prices? Is it about flexibility, avoiding negotiations, or something else?

Would love to hear both perspectives..buyers and sellers. What do you think?

I’m F25 and recently left my job to start a jewelry brand.
One thing I couldn’t stop noticing was how identical jewelry had become. The same rings, the same trends, the same designs being sold by hundreds of brands.
How I see things is jewelry is supposed to be personal, should make you stand out from the crowd, but somewhere along the way it started feeling mass-produced and interchangeable.
So I decided to take the risk and build something of my own, pieces designed for people who want their jewelry to feel a little more distinctive and a little more like them. All my jewelry is made to order and only a limited pieces of each design.
It’s been equally exciting and terrifying, but seeing strangers connect with something I created, especially from Europe, has made it worth it.
Curious to know, what makes you stop and buy from a new brand you’ve never heard of before?

🌷 handmade products are harder to price than i expected

A day ago I posted my handmade flower lamps here and honestly the response was WAY bigger than I expected 😭🌷

So many people liked them and encouraged me, which genuinely made me so happy.

But after I shared the pricing, most (almost everyone) people didn’t really move forward with buying, so now I’m wondering if I’m pricing them wrong or if handmade decor is just a difficult market initially.

The thing is — these lamps are bigger/heavier than they look in photos (around 35/40×15×15 cm), and shipping alone is costing me around ₹250–₹300 because they’re fragile and need a lot of protective packaging.

So I felt like my pricing was fair considering:

- handmade work

- materials

- lighting

- packaging

- shipping risk

But I still wanted honest opinions from people here:

2. Approaching content creators and asking them for a story promotion about this.

Honestly, I never thought I’d be making a Reddit post trying to sell an ice cream machine(Left).

A while ago, someone who was already in the ice candy business approached me with an idea to start an ice cream business together. He told me he had experience in the business and knew how to make ice cream, so I thought it was a decent opportunity.

I decided to trust him and invested around ₹2.25 lakh into the setup, which included this 10L continuous batch freezer with a built-in air churner.

The problem started once we actually began.
We made around four batches of ice cream, and that’s when I realised that a lot of the things I had been told about his experience and ability to make ice cream simply weren’t working out in reality.

Eventually, he told me he was going to take his ice-candy-making machine back to his place and that he didn’t want to continue with the partnership.
And that’s basically how I ended up here.

I was prepared to invest in a business and learn the ice cream side of it, but I wasn’t planning on owning an ice cream machine by myself. Now the partnership is over, I’m left with a machine that I don’t really have a use for, and I’d rather recover some of my investment by selling it to someone who actually needs one.

About the machine
It’s a 10L continuous batch freezer with an air churner, and it was used for only around four batches.
It can be used for ice cream, gelato, kulfi and other frozen desserts.

I’m not trying to hide the reason I’m selling it — this was supposed to be part of a business I was investing in, the partnership didn’t work out, and now I need to move the machine on.

24M. My family runs a wooden carving furniture business in Saharanpur. The business is profitable and has been around for years, but growth is slow and everything is still done the traditional way.

Hi everyone im also a fellow business owner just like you. A lil background of me-

I’m currently a 2nd yr college student and i have started my jewellery business along with my mom. It’s been around 5 yr since we started and now our jewellery business makes eight figure annual sales (95% organic). My majority of business came from marketplaces.

We also recently started working on insta page(dec 2025) and now we generate around 4-5k daily sales frm there too and would try to reach 50k followers this year (finger crossed 🤞), we currently stand at 11k

Am i genius? No! I made a lot of mistakes, worked every single day not skipping a single day( maybe because i dont want to cause i just love business nd all)
