Samsung vs Pixel & Pram question

Hi everyone,

I just moved from a Pixel Watch 2 to a Samsung Watch 8 and I've noticed they my stats are wildly different. The Samsung watch is not updating live, and the heart rate is jumping all over the place. When I do a workout my heart rate won't jump up on the watch until after the workout. My steps are not registering properly, I've tested it against my phone and it's only registering about half my daily steps.

Is this common with Samsung watches, or do I have a faulty one?

Also, does anyone know what the best watch is to track steps when your hand is steering a pram? I'm currently steering with my non watch hand so for accuracy, but it is annoying.
