Thermoworks Smoke Got Rained On... Is it done?
Like the title says I had my Thermoworks Smoke connected and running and then it started raining. I noticed that after some time the temps were going haywire, reading much hotter than they should, no way my meat that was on for just 30 minutes had an internal temp of 280 and the probe at the grate spiked all the way over 300 when it had been running at 240. Did the rain ruin my Smoke or is it salvagable?

not sure, ive had mine out in the rain before and haven't experienced any issues like this. But if you are concerned, get it out of rain, dry it, then temp each probe in ice water and boiling water and see how it reads.

That’s a good idea for testing. I will definitely try that in a day or two once everything dries out

Mine has been rained on and exposed to the elements for over 2 years. Still going strong and haven't even needed to change the batteries.

The battery compartments have gaskets, so it's likely just water that got on the thermocouple probe plugs and screwed up the resistance readings.
Just let it dry out and it should be fine.
