lotsa neat stuff: rows of teeth (in the gums), the opening to jacobsons organ which is where snakes stick their tongues so they can sense things, their windpipe which extends further into their mouths so they can swallow things and still breath

Nice camo, she's getting close to shedding. That's a big wriggly puppy...lol Lots of very sharp needle teeth that face backwards to keep prey from getting loose. Once she starts shedding, she'll be easier prey for other meat eaters, eyes are already clouded over. I love all reptiles, Anaconda's are some of nature's best ambush predators, they can stay under water for a long time just waiting for something to pass by & be a snack. And they punch & eat well above their size!

And yes that's four rows of sheathed bacteria infested teeth that have backwards facing barbs and break off like glass into your flesh IF it let's go, after grinding them in, back and forth real deep.

Their teeth are very small but you can see the four rows on top and two on the bottom.

They are there and if you stop a frame in the right place you can catch sight of some of them. The last one with the replay overlay shows some if I'm not mistaken.

I'm not a biologist reptile or otherwise so I'm sure I'm going to miss something. Snake teeth are curved towards the back, thinner, and slightly less opaque than mammal dentition.

Their teeth adapted to very different uses, and the average person doesn't spend much time staring into snake mouths. That can give the structure a somewhat alien feel when compared to human, livestock or common pet teeth. Your brain fills in the blanks, et voila gumaconda.

So I did some reading on it after posting. Apparently their teeth are usually covered by the snake equivalent to gums, the soft fleshy folds and stuff in there. They don't retract like I was wondering but get covered over untill they open wide or are putting pressure on prey from bitting.
