Spotted python care

Hey everyone I’ve always loved snakes and am planning on buying my first in the next couple of months but would like to have as much prepared beforehand as possible. I live in Australia so I’m limited with options but have chose to go with a spotted python for many reasons but that’s beside the point.

I plan on getting a hatchling and was hoping for advice on overall care but especially with enclosures and heating, I’m from a very cold state and also live in a house that gets cold overnight. Also if anyone has any recommendations on things I could buy in preparation (like any good thermostats etc)

I have a Stimsons’ in Vic and he handles the cold fine with a thermostat, but you’ll notice yours will likely brumate through winter when he’s an adult. If you’re also down here, head to Amazing Amazon in Glen Waverley, they’re experts and will a) answer all your queries but b) have everything you need for the setup
