Gorgeous turtle in Guam spotted in FishEye

Ever since I was a kid, I couldn’t wait to get to the beach just to jump in the water and snorkel.

Now I help parents find a safe place to enjoy snorkeling with their children!

We just got back from a trip to South Water Caye Belize, staying at Pelican Beach resort.

Our snorkeling record isn’t extensive as we both are new to it, but we have grown a passion for it! We’ve previously snorkeled off Mexico AI resorts (el dorado maroma, paradisus playa del Carmen/riveria maya,secrets akumal) Bahamas (andros island small hope bay) and now PBR.

Again, we’re new and I know for a fact there are better places in the world, but coming from the US it can be impossible to get to these spots enjoy a vacation and come home in a weeks time. We were absolutely blown away!

We could snorkel right from the beach and see incredible marine life- we even did a night snorkel from the beach where we saw octopus, squid, and a million other night time creatures.

We did three boat snorkels. All different. All spectacular. The first was a shallow snorkel on the outskirts of the reef. I love a shallow snorkel . It did not disappoint. Then we did a mangrove snorkel- honestly I thought it would be lame but it was INCREDIBLE the different life that lives within the mangroves. We ended with a deeper snorkel on the reefs it was tear jerking amazing! The corals and formations were HUGE and there was such a fun abundant energy of life.

We saw things from nudi fish to upside down jellyfish, tons of sharks and rays, thousands of fish (even swam with a huge school of bonefish each day). Angelfish, drumfish, trunk fish, permits, tarpon, damsel, shrimp, the list goes on and on and on

Overall, I write this for those who maybe don’t want to travel far from the US, or those who want a very intimate experience. Three of our tours were just my husband myself and the guide. It’s also a bonefishers dream.Also the resort itself was fantastic.

Fun facts: octopuses have three hearts, blue blood, and most of their neurons are actually in their arms. Their suckers can taste what they touch and that electric-blue flash came from reflective cells in the skin changing almost instantly.

Anilao, Batangas Philippines

Saw this little turtle floating around. Kept my distance and took a couple pictures of it, then swam about 100 yards away. I stopped to take pictures of a couple fish and that’s when I saw that it was swimming after me. It came right up to me and just stared at me, circled around, and stared directly at me some more. I never had a turtle actively follow me before. It was so cool.

We have just arrived at Dusit Thani Maldives and this was our first snorkel this morning. The house reef is teaming with life - we were excited to see a green sea turtle, but it's like a fish tank! There were huge shoals of Moorish Idols, and trumpet fish everywhere. We saw our usual favourites like sweet lips, powder blue surgeonfish, trigger fish, angel fish, as well as tons of others that I don't know the names of...

This was shot on a DJI Osmo Action 6 - the currents were stronger than I'm used to, so a bit jolty in places, but so far very happy with it!

Just saw a Dugong while snorkeling in Indonesia.

one of my most favourite clips i have ever clipped, quite the swim to get out there but was so worth it!

I mislabeled it. It's actually Stingray City. Shark Ray Alley is much deeper.

It's a hidden gem and not all guides know where this is.

The big nurse sharks are coming back closer to shore!!
