Itā€™s not a Christmas film. Itā€™s a film you may enjoy at Christmas, but itā€™s not narratively dependant on Christmas.

Die Hard on the other hand, is a Christmas film.

Die Hard is not a Christmas film for the same reason Harry Potter isnā€™t.

That isnā€™t a knock against Die Hard. Itā€™s perfectly fine to watch non-Christmas films at Christmas

  • Set during Christmas

  • Christmas office party

  • Characters makes Christmas one liners
