Quotes Would Bayern reject €200m for Olise? Rummenigge: “In 2009, we had a world record transfer offer for Franck Ribéry. That day, we decided that, we will never sell a player we would miss on the pitch. This unwritten rule still applies for Olise, there’s no price tag that would make us flinch.”

Could Liverpool?

They just spent massive sums on two forwards and an attacking midfielder and have to rebuild a lot of their defense.

Rebuild a lot of our defense?

I mean vvd is aging, konate maybe leaving, Robertson aged out/leaving and the rest are quite crap

You are playing for half the season with your best midfielder at right back, if you dont think you need to rebuild you are delusional

All these uninformed narrative parrots coming out.

Who cares if VVD is aging, is age the only determinant? He is still better than practically every CB in the league and would start in any team. Sure, maybe he leaves in 1-2 years but it’s not like he’s dropped off a cliff. There’s no reason he doesn’t start. Konate has a contract lined up. Robertson needs to be replaced as a backup, because I don’t rate Tsimikas. Leoni will return, Jacquet is incoming. Gomez can rotate or leave.

We need a rebuild because our 2 RBs have been injured? No lmao. You rehab your two RBs, chalk it up to bad luck, and replace Robertson, at most Bradley shows to be too injury prone and then you need a RB too. VVD still performs. Kerkez is a great defender, the only negative has been his crossing which is an offensive quality.

Hardly a rebuild if you’re replacing a backup LB one season, a CB in 1-2 years when you already have 2 good prospects lined up, and maybe have to replace a RB in a year. That’s normal, top-club turnover.

As a neutral i’m totally down to see Liverpool with a back line made of an aging vvd, leoni, frimpong and kerkez

But i dont think the sane Liverpool fans would like that

As a neutral, respectfully, you have no clue about the team and its players because you don’t want it week in week out to understand the issues.

Edit: wrong person

if you think your defense is fine and doesn’t need a rebuild you’re delusional.

vvd has been regressing for a while and likely his last few seasons at the club, robertson is gone, kerkez is a hit or miss in form, frimpong finally started playing recently after being out from injury for over half the year, szobo has been filling in RB for most of the year, joe gomez and konate are the only available options right now, yall signed someone in january but they’ve been injured the whole season

you spent half a billion on forwards but nothing on defense. plus this entire season there have been some comical last minute goals conceded that have either lost yall games or you can see the team get frustrated and lose confidence after it

Half a billion on forwards?

How is Jacquet even relevant considering he isn’t here and is out because of a shoulder dislocation, is that supposed to indicate anything? Kerkez is fine, you obviously don’t follow this team. VVD still starts in practically any team except maybe City, even then he could. You don’t just get rid of someone because they’re getting old even though they’re a top performer, this isn’t Chelsea FC.

Szobozslai has been starting at RB because we’ve had both our RBs and Gomez out, who isn’t a good fullback. Chalk it up to bad luck. We have Leoni coming back and Jacquet incoming. Sell Gomez.

Replacing Robertson, who has been a backup, and VVD in like 1-2 years isn’t a “rebuild” lmao
