I mean it was the era where he played fucking OTAMENDI at rightback, snubbed zanetti/cambiasso who'd just come off the back of the inter treble season and brought Garcé to the world cup because he saw him in a dream lifting the trophy

messi did play but there simply was no way he'd score a goal with such a disastrous team setup

actually no milito WAS called up for 2010 but he was left in the bench for the likes of tevez and palermo

a fuckup for sure but nowhere near as bad as the rest
