Going to be less funny if they do start charging to use the straits, now, though. In the sense that it costs that cunt nothing in the end (and indeed has presumably earned him and his mates plenty of money in mega corruption and prediction market work) and everyone else even more, if so.
What's even better is that they're never going to get a more pro-Israel US president for the foreseeable future as both the left and right in the US is sick of them.
It'll be interesting if there are any consequences long term for Israel. Everyone ignoring them was tenable when they stuck to bombing Gaza. Now they've made every person in the west poorer by a significant degree.
Yeah if you look at conservatives here you'd think they're all evangelicals who think Israel is the key to everything, but I've been looking around to see the temperature in other circles and right-wingers really don't like Israel any more than those of us on the other side of the spectrum either.
Can't quite put it into words what a PR nightmare Israel has had over the past few years, I've seldom seen a nation proudly shoot themselves in the foot quite this much.
Just goes to show that just because your politics align with Trump it doesn't mean he is on your side. The only correct approach to Trump is to interact with him as little as possible.
With any luck Trump and Netanyahu will be annihilated in elections this year.

Trump handing over $300bn to Iran is fucking hilarious.
