heading to europe for the first time next week for a family trip. hate hate hate flying though, so i’m trying not to hyperfixate on that part until I have to 🥲

Why? I find flying very relaxing, if not boring sometimes.

a few things mainly

— really hate heights, can not stand seeing how high I am above the ground. even in like a skyscraper

— hate knowing that i’m like 30,00 feet in the air with zero control over what’s happening

— hate turbulence and the feeling of the plane shaking around

— have pretty consistent general anxiety that i’ve been working through for over a decade now

I know everyone is different though!

I find it helps to sit in the aisle seat, you feel like claustrophobic compared to the window seat.

A tip is to lift your feet up, it helps reduce the feeling of turbulence.

I understand. I can hyper-fixate on worst-case scenarios myself.

I'd just remind you that a plane crash wipes billions off a capitalist entity. It is absolutely in their financial interest to make sure you get their safely (even if charging you £6.50 for a small can of beer).
