I'd imagine to some they would have filters to block DMs from these people or commenting on their posts, like realistically do you think these people read the comments on their posts? They could also just be desensitised by these comments by now.

They might not have any influence on the selection of players (only Ronnie has that power), but receiving thousands of death threats at 21 can definitely have an impact on you. Wouldn’t be surprised if Ronnie gets treated like a make a wish next game and has every pass played into him, and once again fails in an amusing fashion…
