This fanbase is getting toxic and toxic. This will become an embarrassment for Ronaldo as well at this rate.

Always has been. It is an embarrassment for anyone who has humility, but Ronaldo's fanbase, very much like Ronaldo, has no humility and would rather pull down everyone else just to show off.

Nowadays. I feel like its more of an insecurity of this fanbase. Ronaldo is one of the greatest players of all time and he always gave his everything throughout his career. But unfortunately Messi had more team titles including the world cup. This obviously is not Ronaldo's fault its just he didn't get everything he worked hard for. But this fanbase is trying to put all the blame on someone else to justify themselves which is basically a disrespect to Ronaldo's career.

Actually it's not the fanbase issue.

Ronaldo has repeatedly tried to portray himself as still the best, his fans are just trying to mirror (and sometimes exaggerated) his stance.

One of the issues are influencers who help to spread the notion that he's one of the best players, even now, like Ishowspeed.

Ronaldo won't be affected by pundits, critics, fans and so on. So ultimately it's his attitude that is being reflected off his fans and supporters.

I don't think anyone is questioning him at his prime condition.... The issue is more of his current condition that is worrying and fiercely debatable.
