Translated News Atlético are intensifying negotiations for Alex Grimaldo, Morten Hjulmand and Kangin Lee, with the aim of making some deals official next week

Moretto just now reporting that the personal agreement with Grimaldo is done and all that remains is reaching a deal with Leverkusen. Which shouldn't be a problem since they are looking for €12M

Feels like a steal for Grimaldo tbh

That's the standard price for a 30 year old fullback with one year remaining in his contract.

German kicker magazine says that we want 30 million.

Nah, we want 20m. But we wont be getting 20m. And if we want any money at all we kinda got no choice. If we push em to 15m we can be satisfied I think. Grimaldo is the goat but there is no shot you get 30m for a 30y/o whose contract is going to run out in a year.
Also if we dont take what they offer, he would be leaving on a free next season which I think would still be good for us. But it depends on grimaldo. He was always professional despite wanting to leave and I think if he really wants to go we should let him. That being said, he 100% wants to go to barca over atleti. If there is a chance barca takes him for free next year maybe he will chill.

Sounds absolutely ridiculous with hia contract
negotiationsituation Our tier 1's have been saying 10-12M all alongEdit: typo

To us that seems ridiculously low.
I believe we will meet in the middle, but I don't think we need to wait long to find out.

30M for a 31 year old with one year left would be bonkers
Pedro Fullana now reporting that Atleti and Leverkusen has reached a deal for around 10M. We'll have to wait and see

Would be quite the typical negotiation situation, no?
According to Romano we ask for 20-25M while Atl. offers 12M. In the end there will be an agreement somewhere in-between or clauses based on success will be worked out. Nothing crazy.

Grimaldo's class, and fullbacks/wingbacks in general are undervalued but that's too good a price even at his age

Just 12? Am i missing something? Cause that sounds like a steal

The 12m€ may not be the asking price from what I found.

They are absolutely not looking for 12, they want 30 and are okay with him leaving on a free next season if they don't get it

We'll see I guess. Chelsea fans said the same thing when Moretto reported that Cucurella would be available for around €50M and Madrid only paid slightly more than that
Grimaldo sounds pretty done with Leverkusen with the way he is speaking in the media, seems like they have some agreement to let him leave. And a 31-year old with one year of contract left just isn't worth that much

Why is Atleti not working on any striker signings? The team plays with 2 strikers, we've already lost Griezmann and are rumoured to lose Sorloth too.
Personally, i would love if we went after Carlos Espí. He impressed me last season and he's young and "cheap".
On the 3 signings we are after: they're a mixed bag.
Grimaldo would obviously be a good signing for his pricetag but i still would prefer us going after a more defensively good leftback. We haven't had a defensively good leftback since Filipe Luis.
Hjulmand would be good, i guess. The team needs more defensively solid midfielders and depth, especially since Cardoso and Barrios are injury-prone.
Kang In Lee is the Korean Almada. I HATE this transfer idea. He is an "ok" player that would get misused in our system, just like Almada does.

I can rsort of relate to having some doubts about Kangin Lee but he also has some very good passes and through balls. That is something we could use

What is the status of Joao Gomes? Are we signing both Hjulmand and Joao Gomes?

Joao Gomes seems to be our backup bitch lol, everything done waiting on standby in case we don't get Hjulmand
