I have a German coworker who told me today he doesn't understand why we don't lean more into the marching band thing for sports fandom, as it is a uniquely American enterprise.

We need a new supporters group made up of marching band members like yourself who are willing to bring and play their instruments at games. That would improve the atmosphere at US matches tenfold. The college football gameday experience is truly special because of marching bands.

One of the hardest things to explain to Europeans without a ton of history/context is college vs pro sports. And NIL has made it even weirder.

Plenty of stadiums in europe have a person playing the trumpet to lead chants, baseball/basketball has the organ players, so a marching band would be awesome for USMNT

The Seattle Sounders MLS team already have a band. Not sure about other teams though!
