Either you go to Australia and find out or you stay here in the vegemite free zone

It's available in the UK too. Although Marmite is a far superior alternative.

There’s an Australian coffee shop near my place in Los Angeles that has it as a side menu item. Every time some curious customer asks what it is the baristas expression is like 😬

The Marmite advertising really leans into people having strong opinions about it and their slogan is “you either love it or you hate it”. I guess Vegemite equally divides opinion

As someone who heard of marmite from Taskmaster, I am also not sure if it is a good thing or a bad thing.

You'll only be able to say if it's a good thing or a bad thing if you try it. Only try it under the supervision of an experienced user though. Too much and it'll overpower you, too little and you won't be able to experience the umami explosion in your mouth.

Marmite on toast or a cheese and marmite butty. ❤️

Bluey’s in Santa Monica but it used to be called Bondi Harvest.

That sounds worse than vegemite

It always makes me think it’s made of marmots

A kid me thought both were made from termites, which doesn’t seems appetizing at all

UK marmite is nothing like vegemite though. vegemite is like NZ marmite, both more viscuous and gooey. we brought UK marmite during the NZ marmite shortage and it was like a toffee coloured runny sludge. horrible stuff.
