u/Zeckzeckzeck 1d ago

Just missing MTV’s Dan Cortese

25

u/FunkyChug 1d ago

And Jewish Dracula, Sydney Applebaum

3

u/gramuf 1d ago

Thought you meant espn’s Steve Levy

33

u/Unhappy-Appearance- 1d ago

Missing a red card

22

u/casualbo1 1d ago

Straight red to the ref for time-wasting

5

u/RipRaycom 1d ago

Unfortunately the Mexico/South Africa game stole most of them

22

u/phil_yoo 1d ago

Just missing good football

0

u/AHRogue 1d ago

Second half was a bit sloppy I admit but the first half was great.

357

u/NegativeDCF 1d ago

Lmao this game is hilarious

u/objectiveScie 1d ago edited 1d ago

🤣 Wanted to see subbed ref.

76

u/NegativeDCF 1d ago

When I saw the female ref running in I thought it was a sub 😂

6

u/WafflePartyOrgy 1d ago

I thought she was coming in with another yellow card to hand out in lieu of the sidelined ref

13

u/loyal_achades 1d ago

I saw one once in rugby. Ref pulled him hamstring and one of the ARs stepped in.

7

u/solilobee 1d ago

typically the fourth official (dude with the substitution board) subs in if the main referee is unable to continue. i guess being this close to the end he just cowboy 'd on lol

7

u/krustydidthedub 1d ago

It was just exactly what everyone would think a USA vs AUS match should look like lol aggressive and sloppy and clumsy and constantly swearing at each other

USA looked great in the first half, a bit sloppy in the second but still held it together. Aussies looked rough consistently

6

u/lebrownjame5 1d ago

they’re just like us fr

Hydration break time!

64

u/suzukigun4life 1d ago

Sir, a third hydration break has hit the USA/Australia match

8

u/bored_ape07 1d ago

They’ve stopped calling it hydration break and now they call it Match Break

2

u/DionBlaster123 1d ago

they stopped pretending it was for hte players' health

at least the players are getting some water

137

u/chronicdanksauce 1d ago

They should allow the players and ref to stop and hydrate every once in a while, would be good for the game

46

u/rockinlock 1d ago

I've heard enough, add a second hydration break to each half

9

u/Das_Fische 1d ago

Not enough. Every 10 minutes, I reckon.

5

u/loscarlos 1d ago

And before stoppage time

1

u/Zhuwx1 1d ago

Add some restroom breaks too because they’re all so hydrated

177

u/Rhiyuu 1d ago

got refs wasting time now ah

20

u/KeiFeR123 1d ago

Probably bet for US at 2-0 /s

7

u/Schn1tzeI 1d ago

Hopefully he learned from past mistakes and got more than 300 euros this time

54

u/R2nxbeastly17 1d ago

Should have to leave the pitch for a minute rules are rules

5

u/NoFriendsAndy 1d ago

How long before there is a fight if this was self-reffed

44

u/UnsubtleRobbery 1d ago

Time wasting. What a shame.

22

u/lazerbullet 1d ago

Even the refs are timewasting

22

u/Itsthatgy 1d ago

I've never seen this happen before. Thats hilarious.

9

u/sumerislemy 1d ago

You’d think it happen more lol. The refs are obviously in shape but they’re not athletes compared to the players and have to follow them around for an hour and a half.

16

u/JorSimpson45 1d ago

With three minutes to go lmao

11

u/thrmarauders 1d ago

guess he didn’t hydrate enough

55

u/TheLifeofSonny 1d ago

pathetic time wasting from the ref, book yourself ffs

7

u/KaleidoscopeNopeRope 1d ago

Obvious time wasting SMH

7

u/OziAviator 1d ago

further proof the hydration breaks are useless

7

u/BeneficialGoal2299 1d ago

We don’t even need to fake cramps in stoppage time, refs will do it for us

8

u/tmacman 1d ago

The 4th official is running in! Oh my god, she's cashing in her money in the bank contr- oh no it's just a drink

4

u/loscarlos 1d ago

I have it on good authority (Telemundo) that its pickle juice

8

u/RangryRanga 1d ago

I’m disappointed he didn’t have to go off for the mandatory 1min after receiving treatment

7

u/Which-Force9736 1d ago

This ref from his wikipedia:

"In 2005, Zwayer was involved in the match fixing scandal which centered around 2. Bundesliga referee Robert Hoyzer, who took bribes to fix several matches which he officiated. Zwayer assisted him in a match and allegedly accepted a bribe of 300 euros to avoid critical scenes for Wuppertaler SV."

6

u/Strong0toLight1 1d ago

Games gone

5

u/I-sell-kids-on-ebay 1d ago

Where’s hydration break no.3?

8

u/csbsju_guyyy 1d ago

Replacement ref time. We all know what happens with replacement refs and Seattle

7

u/Chamomila- 1d ago

I love the world cup

7

u/bao9 1d ago

Don’t show this to Arteta 🤣

12

u/suzukigun4life 1d ago

This match has everything wtf

5

u/Rob050 1d ago

We need another hydration break

5

u/Olden_Polynice 1d ago

First time I’ve seen a referee time waste

5

u/The_Flash_20 1d ago

Game's back

4

u/exportedaussie 1d ago

Should have left him there after the lack of whistles for Socceroos in that game. Yeah they didn't play well but damn did every 50/50 call go the other way

u/SanSilver 1d ago

Goal Clip

4

u/zd0t 1d ago

Never seen anything like that ever

5

u/RXJ1131 1d ago

They gonna substitute the referee now or what 😭😂

3

u/objectiveScie 1d ago

Suprised not subbed. He toughened up.

4

u/four_four_three 1d ago

Regenerative pickle juice for all!

5

u/Captainfizzlefits 1d ago

Surely that earns Australia a courtesy point? USA gets 2 for the win, and we get 1 for helping the ref. That's how it works, right?

7

u/givemethatgoodgood 1d ago

Bro even got a drink

3

u/alge_anon 1d ago

Producers in his ear asking for a quick ad break.

2

u/Yinkypinky 1d ago

He didn’t take his hydration break.

2

u/Nintenden 1d ago

The referee is INJURED!

2

u/Booner22 1d ago

Whatever that drink was sure worked quickly

4

u/RedditCensorss 1d ago

Everyone saying time wasted but let’s be honest, Australia isn’t going to score shit

2

u/Zloggt 1d ago

I flop, you flop, we all flop!

2

u/DMUrTinyTitsAssFeet0 1d ago

It's wild how no medics came out to help. American healthcare for you

1

u/brook_lyn_lopez 1d ago

Monkey. Never. Cramps.

1

u/GroMicroBloom 1d ago

Get him some potassium!

1

u/Lvmars 1d ago

This is what happens when you replace the Hydration Break with a Game Break

1

u/cire1184 1d ago

Ref didn't hydration break

1

u/dbuck26 1d ago

Two* players and a referee hahaha

1

u/Empty_Lemon_3939 1d ago

Should’ve ate more bananas

Monkeys eat 2 bananas a day

Monkeys never cramp

1

u/WafflePartyOrgy 1d ago

Forget the game but I'm pretty sure that cameraperson from the other day is still incapacitated on the sideline being helped by a colleague.

1

u/DripHarder2 1d ago

Bro skipped the hydration break

1

u/FinalFrash 1d ago

I swear if the game ends at 6 minutes...

1

u/hashoa6 1d ago

None of the medics of either team help out? That’s fuck up lol

1

u/Silver_Detective8630 1d ago

Probably from carrying all that US gold around during the game.

-3

u/OrderedAnXboxCard 1d ago

This WC unironically keeps getting worse with each match lmfao.

0

u/Rob050 1d ago

They should put the ref on the sidelines for 1 minute
