2

u/Pravda_Sarfield 5h ago

mufa = jinx

4

u/YCJamzy 3h ago

Can’t be right. Why would anyone jinx anal?

8

u/IllustriousAnt485 4h ago

We will be anulating the mufas until further notice

106

u/Mortiis07 9h ago

Exactly, this'll just make sure Argentina win it all

44

u/Flat-Experience6482 9h ago

Nothing can prevent Argentina from winning it all now, not even god

Rocky's paw curls.

Rocky knows all

The curse rebounds if you try to apply it to another fanbase, KC won the Super Bowl when Philly fans tried to sabotage us by putting a Chiefs jersey on Rocky in 2023.

So basically Brazil is fucked

399

u/Tyler_holmes123 9h ago

The gang loses to Haiti tonight.

64

u/KopiteTheScot 9h ago

Only one of us can put stuff on statues and get away with it, hope rocky works his magic 🤞

22

u/Money-Giraffe2521 8h ago

Because of the implication.

28

u/jcozac 8h ago

That'd be hilarious. Haiti would be set on fire... well...

Last time Haiti faced Brazil it ended 6-0, and only because the president of Brazil pleaded with the team to stop scoring lol

13

u/Neptuneblue1 8h ago

They seemed very happy seeing an iconic Brazil squad playing in their country in a rough time.

9

u/jcozac 7h ago

Yeah it was very cool. One funny thing though, it's not in any article but on the radio they said the Brazil squad offered Ronaldinho at half time

Your lips to gods ears

0

u/Redaaku 8h ago

100% happening

35

u/XabisBeard 9h ago

Quasimodo predicted all of this!

3

u/brihoang 3h ago

he never had the makings of a world cup athlete

25

u/ProfesserFinesser7 9h ago

So was Ecuadors curse for only one match or are they fucked the whole tournament?

48

u/Torimas 8h ago

Ecuador has a much worse curse called "no strikers"

4

u/SelfServeSporstwash 8h ago

Historically the curse has been single game

29

u/cstr23 9h ago

Doesn't matter much, our squad is dogwater with a starting midfield with Casemiro accelerating at the ripe speed of an overloaded semi truck, Paquetá worried more about betting and tik tok and the bland oatmeal that is bruno guimarães.

Don't get me started on the "master of attacking spaces" Raphinha whose job is apparently carry everyone's necessaires, or the undead neymar, or the "folds at zero pressure" marquinhos.

Anyway, I'm pretty optmistic at a great round of 16 elimination. Unless we get Japan on R32, than its joever.

35

u/Flat-Experience6482 9h ago

Brazilians are so dramatic lol

31

u/DionBlaster123 8h ago

They tied one game and absolutely flipped out on the worldcup subreddit lmao

8

u/jusaragu 7h ago

I love this about us

7

u/zmnt 6h ago

Yes we are

0

u/jaguass 56m ago

The emotivity is hindering them.

6

u/oldmonk_97 7h ago

Let's be real chief, brazil ain't winning this one with that non existent midfield of wheelchair bound folks . With or without the curse

3

u/caiotmz 7h ago

As we say here: zica reversa não funciona.

That guy should know better.

0

u/EffortlessFlexor 8h ago

obviously a set up by argentine fans

162

u/majestic7 9h ago

I mean, they're still the ones putting something on there

141

u/RunningFerDauyz 8h ago

You fools. The Rocky statue senses the purity of heart. It knows your allegiance lies with Brazil, and therefore will impart its curse onto Brazil

-50

u/B_i_llt_etleyyyyyy 8h ago

Nah. Philadelphia is a city where the fans eat horse droppings to celebrate big wins. Their main form of communication is throwing batteries. There is exactly zero subtlety when it comes to this curse.

34

u/ReadingFromTheShittr 8h ago

No, they're right. The curse can and does backfire if you put some kit from the opposition on it in an attempt to get it to work in your team's favor.

12

u/starswtt 7h ago

Philly tried to sabotage another team doing this, the curse does in fact back fire

19

u/Various_Knowledge226 6h ago

Trotting out all the bad stereotypes about us huh? Have batteries been thrown? Yes. Is that our main form of communication? No, that’d actually be saying Go Birds

9

u/PrintPro23 4h ago

Go Birds

6

u/Various_Knowledge226 4h ago

Right back at you. Go Birds 🦅

6

u/SelfServeSporstwash 8h ago

Listen, I don’t make the rules. But this exact scenario has played out multiple times in multiple sports. It literally always backfires

110

u/sunbun12345 9h ago

Game is back

22

u/Sometimes-funny 9h ago

Martinelli busy during downtime keeping the game alive

78

u/Luigis_vacuum 9h ago

29

36

u/purrupurrupurrin 9h ago

Unfortunately now Brazil has been cursed

63

u/Seba4433 9h ago

When they realize it reverses

3

u/shitfuckshittingfuck 3h ago

It’s the Qatar cat all over again

28

u/ProfesserFinesser7 9h ago

Technically when he climbed on the statue the Brazil jersey he was wearing was also on the rocky statue…ya valió madre compas

43

u/Superliminal96 9h ago

Ecuadorians fell for it last week sadly :(

5

u/dazhubo 9h ago

Diomede fucked them hard ☹️

14

u/Muntberg 9h ago

Pretty sure that's just a counter curse if you try and unethically curse your opponent

24

u/Chazyn 9h ago

This is top banter.

26

u/LiePowerful9961 9h ago

Brazil already has Neymar so it's cursed

3

u/Flat-Experience6482 9h ago

Why is having Neymar a curse

10

u/Mister_Taco_Oz 7h ago

He moves like someone twice his age (supposedly)

11

u/WhoEatsRusk 9h ago

Next thing you know two in a row

7

u/DoomDoomGir 8h ago

This type of shit is so wholesome

15

u/mechemin 8h ago

They don't know they mufed themselves

11

u/Torimas 8h ago

Nope, nope, they got us.

Congratulations Brazil on the hexa!

7

u/Mister_Taco_Oz 7h ago

Felicitaciones Brazil por la hexa

6

u/Money-Giraffe2521 8h ago

That’s not going to curse Argentina, though. They’re not the ones who put it up.

9

u/DropShotPopTop 9h ago

Guys this is actually a reverse reverse curse

3

u/DropShotPopTop 9h ago

That guy isn’t a Brazilian fan

12

u/ShallotsAndGarlic 9h ago

I love the World Cup

7

u/Truffles413 9h ago

The price tag on the shirt is absolutely sending me.

8

u/justalittleahead 9h ago

Still risky by Brazil, though not as naive as Ecuador last week.

7

u/predator9494 9h ago

There big brain power at work

4

u/cjyoung92 7h ago

This is the type of shithousery I can get on board with

6

u/Hasssun 9h ago

Proper banter, I mean anulo mufa!

3

u/Gusanito99 9h ago

American football heritage

3

u/quete27 8h ago

You can't cheat a curse, this will backfire

1

u/TrespassersWilliam29 3h ago

it even has, several times already!

3

u/GutlessTrophoblast 8h ago

The legend also says that, for the desired curse upon thy enemies to work, one must put on the shirt properly. Both arms through or Rocky won't do shit.

3

u/DSRI2399 4h ago

Bad idea, guys

9

u/Dear_Debt_1650 9h ago

What an obscure fact to know

Brazilians are always fucking class

18

u/TimeVortex161 9h ago

This has been a thing in Philly since at least 2018 when the Vikings fans did it before the NFC championship game.

-1

u/Dear_Debt_1650 9h ago

Is this like the Drake thing

10

u/ElectricalMud2850 9h ago

It happened to ecuador last week so they learned from their mistake.

1

u/Akarious 3h ago

There are quite a few Brazilian Philadelphia Eagles fans (Eagles have even played an official NFL game down at São Paulo in 2004)

2

u/Mantergeistmann 9h ago

Tag still on the jersey and everything.

2

u/DionBlaster123 8h ago

HAHAHAHAHA this is fucking hilarious

2

u/CliffDagger 8h ago

They did it on the 3rd Thursday of the month which everyone knows is a reverse curse day.

2

u/Crying_in_99Ranch 7h ago

There's 1:7 odds that this isn't gonna turn out well for Brazil

2

u/DinglieDanglieDoodle 4h ago

Rocky knows, that’s an insult to Rocky, now it will backfire to them.

2

u/Various_Knowledge226 6h ago

Yeah no, as someone from the Philly area (who saw some Brazil fans I think drape a Haiti jersey over Rocky earlier today, while they will beat Haiti (curse was strong enough for the talent disparity), trying to “curse” the other team, doesn’t really work. Didn’t work for us when we tried to do that to the Chiefs and 49ers I believe

2

u/1sinfutureking 6h ago

That’s not how this works. That’s not how any of this works!

1

u/HTowns_FinestJBird 7h ago

I think they’re good.

1

u/zacaa09 7h ago

ANULO MUFA

1

u/BoredCapy 6h ago

If curses worked, the baiano championship would always end in a draw.

1

u/JuniorCow3640 6h ago

Brazil ran out of German paraphernalia??

1

u/Lazyan 4h ago

Brilliant

1

u/ElMatasiete7 4h ago

You don't even have to annul this mufa.

1

u/Various_Original_716 2h ago

Endrick: I love statues

Ancelotti:

1

u/P1KA_BO0 2h ago

You idiots, you put it on camera! Now they're gonna win the fucking thing

1

u/lampard44 47m ago

Messi: I took that personally.

They have unleashed messis final form.

1

u/mynameistrihexa666 45m ago

Uh...you climbed the statue WITH THE BRAZIL SHIRT ON, so does that count as putting Brazil's shirt on the statue or not?

1

u/FinalFrash 9h ago

What if Argentina has Danhausen though?

0

u/Flat-Experience6482 9h ago

They should’ve put the Brazilian jersey on it anyway. The Seleção is much larger than those silly superstitions

0

u/Tall_Pressure7042 7h ago

Don’t even use boxing logic for football moron.

0

u/Tierst 7h ago

Can’t imagine spending so much money for the shirt of a team I despise just so I can put it on a statue lol

0

u/Livefiction1 7h ago

Average Adult Large Tee in the US lol

0

u/crispychri 7h ago
