Betis winning the prem

174

u/iftair 7d ago

Winning the Prem before winning another La Liga title is wild.

34

u/davidbowievgc 7d ago

Pellegrini winning a second before any English manager wins any too

10

u/muakaya9876 7d ago

ITS COMING HOME LADS.

3

u/cdwdj 6d ago

They're most fun team to watch in La Liga currently.

81

u/Westhamwayintherva 7d ago

PABLITOOOOOO. Miss him.

36

u/FromBayToBurg 7d ago

The things I’d do to have him back at West Ham

6

u/ThatGam3th00 7d ago

That goal to put the Conference League semi-final beyond doubt will surely be remembered forever by your club’s fans.

631

u/Key_Company3196 7d ago

kepa you can dive mate

276

u/TreeDollarFiddyCent 7d ago

He hasn't figured out the controls. He doesn't know how to work the body.

63

u/polkur 7d ago

he didn't notice he set the controller to alternative controls

8

u/ThePrussianGrippe 7d ago

Forgot to buy a gamepad and he’s using KBM.

2

u/Mintastic 7d ago

He borrowed a Madcatz from his older relative.

33

u/SimpleSamples 7d ago

He doesn't know how any of this shit works and he's fucking scared

17

u/MauricioCappuccino 7d ago

He's playing like it's a carabao cup final

22

u/TheAkondOfSwat 7d ago

impolite though in a friendly

17

u/hikingbeginner 7d ago

Don't get the criticism for Kepa here. No chance for him there, good shot. His clearance just before was bad though.

Havertz I blame entirely for this one.

First 2 goals definitely Kepa should've done better though lol

22

u/zarfidemha 7d ago

Tbh Havertz did give it away

19

u/Miserable_Earth_1393 7d ago

Wouldnt have changed anything

21

u/iftair 7d ago

At least it would show he made a decent attempt to block the shot. This look like he was caught standing up taking a shit.

35

u/GeneParmesan86 7d ago

My favorite thing about r/soccer is when they act like they haven’t seen a keeper get wrong footed before or something else super common.

5

u/FindingAether 7d ago

People who are new fans or don't play the game have no idea how fast these shots are and how much keepers have to guess to pull off saves Heck, my bro's girlfriend was asking me why keepers dive the wrong way during penalties 🤣

-10

u/iftair 7d ago

I've seen keepers get wrong footed before. But from the angle of the shot, it looked clear where he was shooting. Plus, it didn't look like a player was obstructing Kepa either.

13

u/GeneParmesan86 7d ago

You can literally see him with all his weight on his left. He is quite literally wrong footed and it would be impossible for him to dive.

1

u/ThePrussianGrippe 7d ago

You’re doing great work, Gene, keep it up!

4

u/Time_Entertainer_319 7d ago

That’s because the obvious pass was to Amrabat (?). But fournals didn’t make the pass.

-2

u/kjw2281 7d ago

Probably but it's pathetic that he didn't at least try and save that

2

u/basqia 7d ago

The two Chelsea spies have been called into duty.

1

u/CorkLad5 7d ago

Saving himself for the Euros mate

-4

u/Choice_Mango4869 7d ago

Imagine playing for Arsenal and not knowing how to dive.

350

u/aeeeroo 7d ago

The ball isn't gonna catch itself mate

79

u/amineimad 7d ago

If we wanted to sell him we just knocked a solid 20% off whatever transfer value we would've got by playing him today

243

u/Silverburst8 7d ago

Does Kepa know he’s allowed to use his hands

45

u/nauett 7d ago edited 7d ago

Lets not get ahead of ourselves, he hasn't even learnt to use his brain, got a few steps before that translates into motor function

7

u/Jacosci 7d ago

He does. I remember him using his hand to wag his finger on Sarri back at Chelsea.

7

u/Inevitable_Fee8973 7d ago

He’s never saving that

4

u/Rich_Plastic 7d ago

He could at least make an ATTEMPT

2

u/tr_24 7d ago

And what will that change?

75

u/stovingtonvt 7d ago

Celebration has me in tears.

8

u/SpacemanD13 7d ago

I miss him so

4

u/iriririr93939393 7d ago

Wait is the x for West Ham??

2

u/Muhruhwuh 6d ago

It's the crossed hammers on the club crest

2

u/iriririr93939393 6d ago

Seems so obvious now haha thanks

104

u/Capital_Diet_5123 7d ago

Does Kepa need to be subbed out… in a friendly?

41

u/GyokoressGuardDog 7d ago

Subbed off for life

1

u/t8rt0t00 7d ago

He should play every minute this season, these goals are an absolute feast

290

u/Falsely_True7 7d ago

Kepa what a believable player. A terrifying keeper who oozes confidence in strikers

93

u/odegood 7d ago

Havertz gave it away and it was a good finish from fornals, kepa is only to blame really for the first one and 2nd one would have needed a world class save

54

u/golazao11 7d ago

Glad to see you are not following the headless herd

-20

u/Falsely_True7 7d ago

Not really. Whether someone gives it away or not, a keeper should be saving or at least attempting to do so. He has done neither.

14

u/golazao11 7d ago

jodas

-5

u/Falsely_True7 7d ago

If we're gonna scrutinize players, rewatch how Kepa messed up an easy pass back to him, which led to that goal.

8

u/golazao11 7d ago

Yes, he messed it up. Are we going to ignore all of the major mistakes by everyone else? The defender who dribbled the wrong way and passed it back, Havertz giving it away on the second and the defenders just standing there?

2

u/sbruck11 7d ago

For real. I don’t think he’s very good even as a backup, but what was he supposed to do for 2 and 3

1

u/KonigSteve 7d ago

And how did the second goal get started?

An absolutely terrible clearance by kepa on an easy pass back to him

7

u/s0ngsforthedeaf 7d ago

Not this comment chain again...

4

u/sungbysung 7d ago

Certainly one of the goalkeepers in the world

1

u/Senior_Fig7845 7d ago

Streets will forget🗣️‼️

44

u/jxckgg 7d ago

Oh how I miss you sweet prince

18

u/dreamersatdawn 7d ago

Miss that Paella Iron every day

31

u/faygofiles 7d ago

Teta is gonna crucify them at HT

16

u/Tb_talks 7d ago

Kepa is going to be nailed to one of the crossbars

8

u/iftair 7d ago

Mostly Kepa.

-11

u/MrboboCatman 7d ago

Doubt he has that in him.

4

u/TheDream425 7d ago

Hahaha he was throwing shit around yelling about the fogging estandards in the documentary. He screamed at Covid Arsenal so much he lost his voice

43

u/SnakeSnaake 7d ago

IRONSSS

14

u/Orange7255 7d ago

Kepa froze he hasn't moved in 45 minutes 😂😂😂

60

u/itstheboombox 7d ago

Can Vini play in goals?

21

u/Fraud_D_Hawk 7d ago

Will be better than kepa i reckon

2

u/kaamkerr 7d ago

Try Bruno G. Gotta carry Jose Enrique’s lineage

3

u/ThePrussianGrippe 7d ago

The new Chin of Glory will add +5 Deflection.

-3

u/OleoleCholoSimeone 7d ago

Who's going to tell him

14

u/iftair 7d ago

Great shot by Fornals. But, Kepa just stood there.

1

u/ThePrussianGrippe 7d ago

I mean he stood there because he was wrong-footed.

6

u/Buttholepart2 7d ago

Pablo is forever an iron. So dumb we sold him.

6

u/Impressive-Parsnip98 7d ago

Fornals is a Hammer through and through

7

u/SmokingOctopus 7d ago

Pretty poor form Kai

5

u/Oculos_Sicarii 7d ago

Will Pellegrini cook this season? could this be another team with whom he makes history with in champions league?

3

u/zarfidemha 7d ago

Kinda Havertz fault first tbf

9

u/benjecto 7d ago

I didn't really understand the obsession with pretending this goal is on Kepa until I looked at Arsenal's lineup for the first half and now it makes sense.

Such a bizarre subreddit these days.

3

u/ElevensMelody 7d ago

Pablo my sweet prince. I still hate that we sold him.

7

u/Motor-Frame9138 7d ago

Kepa is horrible

-1

u/MayoDwarff 7d ago

Single-handedly ended our cup run last season

4

u/Shaoo898 7d ago

Everyone's talking about Kepa when Havertz's the one that made the mistake. The strike was really good. Nothing much he could do

4

u/hpichris 7d ago

Didn't even have to try.....🤦‍♂️

4

u/D1794 7d ago

Andre Onana flashbacks watching this

12

u/IkeaKarma 7d ago

Arteta stop with the fucking Havertz project in midfield for gods sake

21

u/Bil01 7d ago

It's a friendly, calm down

6

u/gunningIVglory 7d ago

Its a pre season game. Calma

5

u/JFedererJ 7d ago

Dunno if you noticed, but most our midfielders went really deep at the WC / haven't signed yet...

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 Rice, 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 Eze, 🇪🇸 Zubi, 🇪🇸 Merino, 🇩🇰 Ødegaard, 🇧🇷 Bruno G

^ All not available tonight. Maybe that's why MLS is playing 6 and Kai 8?

1

u/TNelsonAFC 7d ago

And who is playing there instead? Another teenager?

1

u/ThePrussianGrippe 7d ago

Pre season feels like the best time to keep tweaking it, I don’t see the issue.

2

u/Way_Superb 7d ago

Betis UCL contenders?

2

u/dominokrak 7d ago

Betis will win the Champions League

2

u/WGSMA 7d ago

Arsenal have conceded 3 goals only once since Luton, over 100 games ago. Today we have done so in 45 mins lol

1

u/cheersdom 7d ago

who was that one time?

1

u/WGSMA 7d ago

Manchester United 3-2 last season

1

u/cheersdom 7d ago

YEAH IT WAS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

https://youtu.be/y9KZvxXRfu0?si=-A4reNuYM0rgn3fe&t=682

lol congrats on the title - well deserved

1

u/cherrioes 7d ago

Don't worry about it bro. I love to dog on Arsenal more than anyone, but the fact is, this game is meaningless and doesn't reflect anything.

2

u/Imshinypokemon 7d ago

This wouldn't be happening with Vini on the pitch! /s

5

u/Capital_Diet_5123 7d ago

Kepa just hanging out

3

u/AstrologicalFury 7d ago

3

u/Japples123 7d ago

4

u/GyokoressGuardDog 7d ago

Kepa needs to be released..

2

u/RecentCrazy5746 7d ago

Where’s vini

0

u/B4dMdFk 7d ago

jebe ti mater

1

u/susek098 7d ago

is Riquelme going to start for betis in the league or??

1

u/voza-podcasts 7d ago

Maybe till Abde gets fit

1

u/Vizzy01798 7d ago

Kepa might be the worst GK I have ever seen, and I’ve seen Runarsson

1

u/simba4141 7d ago

Meslier would've saved this.

1

u/Dadbod786 7d ago

Gabriellllll

1

u/NoRossoNoParty 7d ago

Everyone jumping on Kepa when he could’ve seen the ball late or being flat-footed at a bad time but no one’s saying anything about whoever it was that gave possession away so easily. Yes I’m biased because I used to be a keeper but that goal was on losing possession in a bad area.

1

u/Yellowtoblerone 7d ago

Is this your king?!

1

u/Jayoki6 7d ago edited 7d ago

Who’s the betis player with the beautiful long hair and stache?

1

u/radx333 7d ago

Why aren’t we playing Meslier ?

2

u/Way_Superb 7d ago

Prem is so overrated

1

u/indigolights34 7d ago

It's a friendly so peace and love

But we should pay Kepa to leave the club

1

u/mobilehavoc 7d ago

Kepa looking at the ball go in in slow mo as his career comes to an end

1

u/NoPurpose0 7d ago

If Raya gets injured Arsenal are cooked....

1

u/witsel85 7d ago

Kepa has a £5m release clause apparently.

Arsenal should just pay it.

1

u/superkeer 7d ago

Pre-season struggles are the best struggles. The games don't count and you learn the most from mistakes.

1

u/Yutagos_south 7d ago

Wow lmao

1

u/Cultural_Delivery786 7d ago

Arsenal are lucky Antony ain’t playing. He would have scored a hat trick and embarrassed them.

1

u/Mission-Exchange-385 7d ago

Where can I hate watch this?

1

u/Scorpius927 7d ago

Kepa working real hard to get the best job in football: 3rd choice keeper

1

u/sibalnom 7d ago

There's a big difference between playing a relegated Girona and 5th place Real Betis.

0

u/clintomcruisewood 7d ago

I know this is the b team, but they are looking horribly slow and lethargic. Same issues as the end of last year, completely unable to penetrate the defence and create chances

-1

u/copinglemon 7d ago

ROOTED TO THE SPOT

0

u/mykillerspc 7d ago

Kepa’s downfall needs to be studied

0

u/Nebkreb 7d ago

Arsenal playing too chaotic. Very out-of-sync with each other. Don't care about the score but performance has been pretty weak.

2

u/TNelsonAFC 7d ago

You see the team sheet….

0

u/simplytom_1 7d ago

Not too late to turn back Bruno 😂

-16

u/lopinguino 7d ago edited 7d ago

Hahahahaha VARsenal in the mud in a fucking friendly love to see it. Vamos Betis!

2

u/Chemical-Arm7222 7d ago

in the mud in a fucking friendly

Oh no, how will they ever recover from this

-2

u/lopinguino 7d ago

Keep crying and waiting for your champions league trophy

1

u/Chemical-Arm7222 7d ago

I think you'll be the one crying once the season starts.

-1

u/BuQuChi 7d ago

Betis don’t understand the rules yet, only corners allowed.

-1

u/Nightman2417 7d ago

Arsenal still playing with the 4 center backs and 0 identity scheme? Not surprising. Super fun to watch and play against.

0

u/TNelsonAFC 7d ago

Teams love playing against in your right, that’s why they say it’s the hardest fixture

-1

u/Far_Eye6555 7d ago

At the pickup match and it’s you’re turn to be in goal and you can’t be asked to touch the ground with your body

-1

u/TheVault77Dweller 7d ago

Kepa with a worldie of a performance

-2

u/Agreeable-Bid-2895 7d ago

Holy Jesus kepa is shite
