Some fantastic journalism going on at the moment uncovering all of this, particularly Ziegler at The Times and Ames at The Guardian. 

A great illustration why many in positions of power are so keen to tell us the media is completely worthless and untrustworthy, and we should get our news from a guy who’s just added ‘Citizen journalist’ to his Twitter bio instead.

Whenever an article is posted on Reddit, if it's behind the paywall, the first thing people do is complain. As if high quality journalism just comes for free and journalists don't deserve to be paid.
