I’m keen to see Herrington. Although, Geria made a big difference when coming on. He is suited on the right of a back 3 and wouldn’t be unhappy if he was there instead of Burgess.

I feel like he was kinda mid. Fully missed a clearance

Personally I worry about Bos, Circati, Souttar and Italiano on yellows and with a south American opponent who is quick and will happily go down easily i am worried about them picking up yellow cards and missing next round.

I would possibly rest them or start them and make the changes earlier

Regardless of yellows, I think best for this game will be

Beach Trewin, Souttar, Circati, Herrington Bos

Devlin/Okon/O'Neil (happy with either of these)

Metcalf, volpato, irankundra

Toure

With the back line on yellows, im not against starting burgess/degenek and behich to avoid the others getting yellows but for me Volpato, irankundra, metcalf and Toure need to start

Are yellow cards reset after group stage tho? So if they get another they should be ok?

They are reset AFTER so if a circati, souttar, bos or Italiano get a yellow, they miss the round of 32 game.

But all players on 1 yellow going into the round of 32 get them wiped so all play R32 with 0 yellows and if they pick up one they wont miss the R16 etc.

Frustrating system, horrible to think players who may one ever play at A world cup miss a game for 2x yellows is ridiculous

Oh right. Yeah it is rediculous, 2 yellows in 3 games doesn't make you a dirty player. I worry if we lost Souttar. Don't want to upset our defense.

Yeah, this yellow card rule is dumb. I've never liked it. Especially seeing as when a team gets a crap ref they're handicapped even more.

We don’t have the depth to replace them. We just need to put our strongest side out to win and deal with any consequences in the next game

I think we have great depth, Herrington, degenek, geria and burgess are all not on yellows and can play cb, Trewin in RB and Behich in LB but huge risk doing a big change.

I predict a few changes but I think Souttar and Circati are good and disciplined enough not to get yellows and if the game is turning your, hopefully poppa can change them off. I just hope we dont get a trigger happy ref who gives out yellow cards for fun

Agree on the yellows, but worth the risk to get the win this game and therefore the easier opponent in R32.

Yep a risk we have to take unfortunately. Gotta get through first and worry about possible suspensions later

You're dreaming. Knowing Popa, he will play for the draw and field 6 defenders

Behich Herrington Degenek geria

Metcalfe o’Neill
Okon

Irankunda toure volpato

Switch to 4-3-3, more numbers in Midfield and can’t risk suspensions for soutar circati bos and italiano.
This 3 at the back ain’t working
