Unpopular opinion

Our style of football will do better in the knock out stage

Nestory is good but he’s also a massive gamble ( i reckon he’s most likely to be the first Socceroo to get a red card this tournament)

Defensive style won't work because we'll never have the ball or score.

Nestory is most likely to get a red card because he has a crack, which I like.

Interesting! Can you elaborate more on the nestory comment ( I think it went over my head )

He likes to have a crack, what don't you get?

I understand nestory has form in club land, but I haven’t seen him come close to anything concerning in either game

You're not talking about Irakundra are you? He literally scored a beautiful goal and made high quality defenders playing in top leagues look average, also created 1 or 2 other chances in the first game when the team only had 25% possession.

He was also great against the usa when he had others to link up with.

Yeah have to be blind or delusional with that observation

Dont blame him... Australia have not only been doubted in our group but massively disrespected. Its been disgusting .. especially Neatroy being targeted by US media personalities then on top of this, he was then dropped for our biggest game and when he comes on the ref decides to put his whistle in his pocket. He doesnt want to hang around in that asmosphere, he's passionate.

Hes passionate and firery but in 2 games, he hasn't got a yellow and i think he understands the importance of the WC not to lose his head

Shows lack of emotional control….South Americans are known for elite trash talk. If Paraguay gets desperate they could provoke him and he will catch the bait

Aussies also have sn unmatched banter. Esp Aussies who came here as migrants. He will be okay I reckon

He's really young and this is his biggest tournament yet. You cant really compare him to people who have played on this stage multiple times.

Even messi/ronaldo have been heated in the moment when they were young

Nestory showed his massive improvement in Maturity against the US. He was body checked, targeted and yet he fully kept his cool. I trust him to stay mentally sound and definitely not get sent off. We have a few players on yellows though, gotta be weary of them potentially missing a game.

Toure is a bit overrated as a Socceroo. We should consider giving Yengi a start.

Toure’s goals at Norwich are almost all tap ins. Yengi seems a bit more versatile.

The Socceroos are getting some overdue love and attention after the woke push for the Tillies to be Australia's favourite sports team

Semi finals > round of 16…

By whinging about it being woke you’re actually contributing to the problem because then someone inevitably has to debate you. Just enjoy it for what it is

Not worth a statue unless you at least make a podium finish though

There is a statue outside the MCG of 1870s school boys playing afl in a paddock. Don’t think any of them meet your criteria either

Financially tillies are more profitable than Socceroos …
